Whenever I open up a picture to edit in Photo Gallery, on the down left side there is always a 'Looking for people tag suggestions' always slows my laptop. I don't even want or need this feature and I really would like to know if there is a way to turn it
off from even coming on in the first place?By the way, " find people in your photo" option is already unchecked and the problem is still happening.
It gives me an error message saying that I need to check my system specs but they are all up to the requirements. The problem started the second I deleted photo gallery. I recently purchased a drawing tablet as well but I don't think that that would interfere.
I'm unsure of what to do and I need to get movie maker working again. I tried reinstalling windows essentials since that is the only thing that I can find. I am hesitant to delete movie maker since I cannot find a copy anywhere.
Please help.
Trying to retrieve pictures from "photo gallery" popup says photo gallery not working.
Reloaded windows 7 on my computer recently. This reformatted the drive and deleted Photo gallery. When I reloaded gallery, and tried to open image files, I was confronted with an error message announcing I did not have adequet permission to open any of these files.
Is there any utility out there that can reset, in bulk, permissions, sharing, and ownership. It can be done manually, but with several thousand image files, manual reset is not an option. Thanks for any positive feedback, that will resolve this issue.

I have na issue that is when uploading photos from Windows Photo Gallery 2012 to Flickr using the Sharing to Flickr Button the photos loose their people tags when in Flickr.
I have already contacted Flickr, but as this is a third party app, they forwarded the issue to Microsoft...

trying to make my own designs up for my family tree in word,
i have made out a pattern by using 3 cm by 3 cm squares to put in one square .type text the name birth death of a person
then another square with a photo
but for the parents the squares the same, but in between another same size squar, for a "marraige symbole",
i have a marraige symbole, but it is to large ,how can i make it smaller to fit in my square ,in windows photo gallery,or word
tried using, edit, resize, down to 160 x 160, but when i go to print, to see if its the right size ,it always comes out printing the same size ,large,
why is this, can you help please, is there another way i can do this ,and make my picture small,to fit
you see i plane to fit these squares on a coloured sheet of A4 paper ,add the marraige symbol, flower edging to make it look good, then scan it to my windows word,

This one is odd...
Using Windows 7.... On my desktop in the photo or video Library I can see both the public and all the user directories that contain photos and videos and can access all the directories and open all the files in all the directories.
However in Photo Gallery I can only see the files in the public directory but cannot see any of the folders or files in the user directories? When I check to manage libraries from within Photo Gallery is shows that both the user and public directors are in the library and in fact has the user directory set at the primary default which is what I want. In fact when I create a new folder in Photo Gallery it actually creates the folder under the user photo directory but then I can't see it within Photo Gallery. But I can see it in libraries on the deck top. Very strange....
Thoughts on what's causing this? Assume a setting is out of whack somewhere.
Thanks!
