I always used to have an animated GIF image for my profile picture (when it was still called Hotmail, Live Mail, and what not).
As it has been a few years old, I decided to update it (make a better quality one).
Before I changed my profile picture I saved the old one to my computer (right-click, save image as...).
However, after I changed my profile picture to the new one, instead of being animated, it only showed the first frame.
Also, when I tried to change it back to the original one (the one I saved to my pc (and that was still animated)), it too showed only the first frame.
Please tell me how I can again have an animated GIF as profile picture.

PS. Why is it so effin hard to create a new question, or is that just me? I had to change to M$ Internet Explorer just to create this question. Way to annoy people. Really makes me want to use M$ products more often :/

First of all, let me say that live.com or Outlook.com service is great (and I'm an Apple user!), but lately is driving me crazy.
In People app or whatever this is, I had my own contact (phone numbers, emails, addresses...) to share it with people I want and know. I have a friend on FB with exactly the same name and surname as mine is and I found out that was automatically associated with my contact ... whenever, I sent out an email, his profile picture was sent out(!!!). No problem, I “unlinked” his FB profile from my contact.
Funny thing is, that I cannot link my FB profile with my contact in People app. Whenever I’m sending an email, no profile picture is shown ... and I have my picture on Outlook.com account. So, I thought, I will delete my contact from People app and then fulfil all fields within account ... WRONG! I basically cannot fill down where I work, I cannot associate my FB profile to my account, I cannot put my home address .... are you serious Microsoft?
At the same time I have a SkyPE profile, with all my data in (home and work address, emails....), but obviously this cannot be merged, since I have one profile picture on SkyPE account and one another on Outlook.com account.
Seriously, how can someone “consolidate” all Microsoft accounts (Outlook.com, SkyPE, XBOX...) and have his own data among contacts to send “digital” business card when needed?
And here I can see again one another profile picture!!!!!!!!
In Outlook.com I have a contact's picture and personal information that won't delete. Outlook says the information comes from other sources. So Facebook I block, the account is old msn.com account. Ive gone to delete him, his picture, and information.
I need to get rid of this guy.

The transition goes over the previous picture shadowing it then jumps to the next picture not combining the two. this is on just some of them, others work fine. I ran the repair windows live essentials but it didn't fix it. Any suggestions?
About 3 months ago, I sent a few pictures to an associate. She reported to me that those picture are still arriving several times a day and I don't know how to discontinue it. I've changed my password and she's still receiving them. Help!!!

Hello! I just went to read a "sent" message - and - noticed my not-linked, Facebook avatar, was pictured in my message box...(!?)
Frustrated, to say the least, I went to edit my Hotmail profile and see where the, what the, but Hotmail is still showing the generic grey silhouette, that should there. Not one for just 'don't worry about it,' curious what anyone has to say about this,
unwelcome and unappreciated liberty taken with my information, and seemingly an invasion of privacy, or just a misunderstanding?
