Hi all,
Recently, Windows Live Mail became stuck in some sort of of update loop with Hotmail's calendar, and I could not receive or send emails either. Frustrated, I checked Hotmail's account settings, and they did not show an advanced tab so I could check the pop3
settings. I deleted and then recreated the account, but Live Mail is not syncing with my custom-made online Hotmail folders like it did before.
My hotmail settings are below...
pop3.live.com (port 995)
smtp.live.com (port 25)
Both ports require secure connection (SSL)
Are these settings correct, or is there an automatic way to setup a Hotmail account in Live Mail so I can download messages from those custom folders?
Regards.
I've been trying to port over my AOL for a couple days now with no success. I have tried EVERYTHING. AOL no longer has a forward email option, my POP3 settings are correct, but when I try to set it up, it pulls in about 10% of my inbox, but then doesn't
update. I get this error when I first try to set it up every time:
We're sorry, but there was a problem creating your account. We've tried to save your settings, but if you don't see your account on the set-up page, you may need to choose "Add an email account" and start over.
I have tried removing the account and re-adding it (multiple times) to no avail. I've tried messing with the POP3 settings, including removing SSL settings, and still nothing. I've tried different browsers, cleared my cache/history, etc. Nothing. I see
no other answers in the forum with any other solution, so please help.
Thanks.
Hi Everybody,
I noticed that my sent folder does not update when i send an email from my webmail, and found that it is because i use POP3 settings. Can somebody please tell me how to change my settings on outlook from POP3 to IMAP.
Thanks & regards,
