I have been having problems with not receiving e-mails onto my HTC Wildfire phone for the last week - for some reason they have just stopped. They have been working fine for the last year.
I have deleted requirement for https as answer to a previous question by someone else.
I have deleted and re-registered my account and it makes no difference.
I have discussed this problem with Vodaphone and they have checked out and confirmed no problem at their end and believe it is a problem at the e-mail server end.
Help!
I have an HTC Desire and I'm experiencing some of the problems that others are experiencing in that my email has worked beautifully until last week and now my incoming emails won't sync with my msn account. My phone provider gave me several different incoming mails port to try but nothing seems to work. I've been getting messages such as:
"Your incoming server does not support SSL. Please modify your incoming server's security type." (Even changing the security type doesn't work)
"Can not connect to the mail server to verify your accout information. Your server is not responding."
I've also received a message indicating that the security certificate is not valid.
I've tried many of the things that have been posted.
I'd like to make sure that the server information that my provider game me is correct, because it is different from the port that has been working. I would appreciate help!
Thank you!
On HTC Hero phone, used POP3 server: pop3.live.com (port 995), but get warning that incoming server doesn't support ssl
Any other solutions? GMail and Hotmail apps work OK, but Mail will not
says cannot send or receive from server
O800CCC0e, POP3 port 110, Secure SSL - no Socket error 10060
This error ID comes up. Ox80004003. Protocol SMTP. Port 25. Secure(SSL):no.
After a few attempts I find I can no longer send any emails (with or without attatchments) Can anyone help with this problem?
