email fake or real?

recently ive been getting an email saying its from the hotmail staff and id like to know if its fake or not.

Due to congestion in all Windows Live Mail user accounts, there shall be a removal exercise of all used and unused Hotmail/Msn Accounts. Windows Live would be shutting down several accounts as your email address needs to be added to the new Windows Live database. We programed to stop and delete unused email account, you may permanently stop receiving messages to this Email address if not verified.

Unable to send mail

My Windows Live Mail has been working fine up until yesterday. Now I am getting this message when I try to send mail out:

The message could not be sent because the server rejected the sender's email address. The sender's email address was '*** Email address is removed for privacy ***'.

Server Error: 530
Server Response: 530 Authentication is required before sending [R0107005]

My settings have not changed since I started using Windows Live Mail 2 years ago. I checked for updates, and can not figure this out. Can anyone help?

Hi there....If I am on a site and I want to have a question answered via e-mail and the site says e-mail us @ the following address.....eg; *** Email address is removed for privacy ***

When I try to hit this address to submit my message....I get this messgae on my screen....Windows Internet Explorer - Could not perform this operation because the default mail client is not properly installed...?? How do I properly install this feature...??

I replied to a legitimate hotmail address but it came back as permanently undeliverable. Any answers please?

Looks like a HOAX to me.

Unknown contact listed when forwarding e-mails which is not in main contact list.

When forwarding e-mails I have noticed a strange entry in my list of contacts as I scroll down. However, when I list my contacts separately, this entry is not there (and so therefore I cannot delete it.) .  What is this and how do I delete it please?  The entry is:-

I have recieved an email from "Microsoft" Saying I had to sign in with all my credentials- so I do not loose everything and only had 48 hrs to do so…..Is this real or a scam from someone ?

Here are some ways to help you manage your account after you reconfirm your account.
  1. Create an archive - Set up a folder on your PC’s hard drive where you can save large attachments. Then just delete them from your inbox. You’ll still have them and your inbox will be that much smaller.
  2. Make your filters work for you- Did you know you can set up your Hotmail account to immediately delete junk e-mail? Go to Options, and click Filters and reporting. Under the “Delete junk e-mail” section, select Immediately to delete junk e-mail right away. Once you’re finished, click Save and you’re done.
  3. Delete a bunch of mail at once- Go to your Junk and Deleted folders, and clear them out by clicking the “Empty” button in the action bar.

It has been 6 months and I’m getting more and more disgusting **** and drug emails. I have NEVER subscribed to any of this. Why doesn’t Microsoft clean up Hotmail and stop spamming?
