Hi There
I wonder someone can help. A friend tryed emailing me today to but instead of emailing my actual address of my.name@hotmail.co.uk (obviously not my actual email address) but instead she emailed my.name@hotmail.com
My actual email account doesn't have a profile photo attached to it. However the .com email account (which isn't my email address, and has NEVER been my email address) has MY photo (which is my facebook profile). Is this some kind of weird system glitch, or is someone using my photo as their profile picture for their email account for
some weird reason?!?!?
I wanted to contact outlook support but I can't find an email address for them.
Please help cos it's kind of freaking me out.
Thanks
Megan
how to add profile photo to my account without using FB
Outlook.com's automatic linking to social media has created a means for anybody to take control of my profile photo and advertise their twitter account.
I sent my wife an email from my Outlook.com account and it showed up on her end with a profile photo of Justin Bieber. I checked my setting and my profile, and I do not have this photo in my profile. After doing some research, I realized that the photo showed up because Outlook.com is displaying photos/info from Facebook and Twitter. This is not my twitter account. Somebody else created a twitter account and listed my email address as the associated contact info The problem is, this photo of Justin Bieber will appear whenever anybody opens an email from me, and I have no way to prevent that. The instructions on the Outlook.com site say to go to your twitter account and prevent others from searching for you by email in order to de-link the accounts. But because this is not my twitter account, I cannot do that.
Please let me know how I can fix this situation, or I will need to deactivate my account and use another service.
I recently signed up for an outlook.com email account. I uploaded a profile photo. I can see the profile photo on the top left corner of the email when I send myself a test email. No one else in Hotmail or Outlook.com can see my profile photo in the top
left corner of the email, they only see a grey box with a white outline of a person which is the generic profile picture if you have NOT uploaded a profile photo but I did so it should show. How do I fix this so that others can see my profile photo in the
top left corner of the email when they open the email that I send them? I read elsewhere on the forum that others were also experiencing this problem as far back as 9/2012 but this issue does not seem to have been resolved nor do I find any answers on how
to fix this. I have not linked my account to any other email or any other sites so Facebook should not be a factor in this issue. I have only just opened the account, uploaded a profile photo and sent some test emails nothing else. Please help. thank you
With the new Outlook.com, my Hotmail account suddenly picked up my Twitter profile pic. Now I am unable to remove the photo from all of my emails. I cannot have this photo on my business emails. I have confirmed i have no linked account in hotmail profile. I have updated profile photo in outlook hotmail and twitter. I waited the 48 hours for the updates to take affect. Now when I log into my hotmail and send a test email the old photo still remains and will not Update!. My hotmail account is still reflecting the old photo to the recipients. Would you please remove the photo from my hotmail account. At this point I dont know what to do anymore. I just want NO photos to be reflected anywhere.
