Gentlemen:
As you can see from the correspondence below I am having difficulty finding someone who can help me.
I can’t get into my account to change information. I continually get a message that states my profile is unavailable.
I have been hacked several times and I need to correct my name. I would like to close this account but retain may name, “samtaxman”, and use it on a brand new account. I have downloaded my contact as a csv file so they may be imported. There just seems
to be too many issues with this account. I have had it for over 25 years now.
Please advise me if I may or you can create me a new account with the same name and delete the old one.

Please note I have changed my password but when I go to Preferences and select Edit Name I get the following message and I am unable to do anything.

I don’t know how to get passed this or where to go to reactivate my account.
Where do I go from here?

Johnette:
Thank you for a response I can begin to understand.
Please not the following:
1. My account has be hacked several times and apparently changing the password is not enough to keep the invaders out.
2. My user name has bee change and I cannot get in to change it back. I did not change it to Sam Squirt. If was Sam Stein which is an alias I used to prevent my real name from being published on line. When I attempt to edit it, it keeps telling me
my account is temporarily unavailable. I can not get in to modify or change anything other then my password.
3. With respect to SkyDrive I don’t even have a clue as to what this is let alone post pictures on line. I did not create this so please feel free to close, delete or remove it, in it’s entirety.
4. All I would like to continue to use is basic Hot Mail and the associated calendar and contact list. I do not get involved with any of the Social Media sites as I believe people are taking a sever chance publishing their personal information on
such sites.
5. My request was to completely wipe out my existing Hot Mail account and allow me to create a new account while retaining my email address of *** Email address is removed for privacy ***. I haven’t cancelled the account from my side as I do not want to lose my email address which
I have had for more years then I can remember.
Finally I don’t know if you can help me or if you can direct me to some who can.
Thank you in advance.

If I click 'Delete and Block' with the option in the 'Safety Options' 'Blocked Senders' tab, tick the box to 'Bounce the blocked messages back o the sender' What information gets sent?
I understand that to check or change the Virus Protection Features in Windows Live Mail I need to click MENUS and then click SAFETY OPTIONS etc. My question is WHERE does the the MENU BUTTON appear on the screen ?
The question is in the title. I was told to come here by the MS Online Safety Team.
How do or can I uninstall windows live mail, live writer, live call from windows live essencentials and keep windows live messenger, live family safety and live photo gallary? I have went to uninstall programs & clicked on windows live essentials but
it will not let me uninstall all or part.
I use MS security essentials and have run safety scan email is sent to every one on my contact list with and attachment in it.
I got a warning that I had possably been sent a virus. Is this a real e-mail address for my safety or a scam?
I ran my Norton Full System scan and found only 2 cookies. I ran Microsoft Safety Scan and selected full system and it found nothing. Yet when I try to open Live Mail the blue circle starts as if it's trying to open and then I get a message that says
"An update is required" "Click to install the lasted update for Windows Live Essential". When I checked my updates they were current as of today. I also when to microsoft.com to find updates and I have them all. I'm concerned about clicking on this install
window. Is it common that Windows is forcing me to install an update in order to use a program?
Hi,
One of my hotmail account has been temporarily blocked for safety reasons. It is asking for a code but code is sent to an email account I don't use any more. How can I get the code in an alternative email I use?
