When I entered hotmail it prompted me for my security code. There is an old email address as my lead alternate. I don't use that anymore so enter the other alternate address I have listed in hotmail. They send me a security code, I enter the code, doesn't match. Done it 10 times over 3 days to my frustration. Not sure what else to do. I have access to the account but not to security stuff. Will try to reset the account in 30 days I guess. But does anyone know why the 7 digit verification codes don't work? I tried in private browsing, didn't help. What a pain.

Yesterday I changed my Hotmail Plus password, and now, after entering password to log-in, and then as 2nd step I'm prompted to request security code ( via text, phone call, or sent to my gmail email account), it now won't text it to my cell, which is what I almost always do .... with repeated attempts I get a message saying "We couldn't send the code, please try again". I've never had this problem.
Then, when that didn't work, I tried to have it call me the code, which system did, but then when I enter the code, I get exact same two-step authorization screen again / says on-screen again that it needs "two-step authorization", and prompts me to request another security code.
So it seems after password reset, all of a sudden the text option and somehow the call option now all of a sudden aren't functioning properly.
This morning,, upon trying again, I had it send the code to my gmail account, and when I entered that code, Hotmail Plus finally did let me into my email, that option appears to be the only option functioning.
How can I get text option and call option working again? I have no idea why the system for text option says "We couldn't send the code, please try again", and why call option doesn't seem to work either.
I use MSN Hotmail for business, and I'm pretty darn scared if I weren't able to get into my email. No Technical Support, no one to talk to, MAJOR detractor. I may need to consider changing over to Verizon, etc., for business / personal email, even though it would cost me more. What if I can never get Hotmail Plus in this regard working right again.

a few days ago i have requested an update of the 2-way security code.
Yesterday i locked my new Surface2 with the BitLocker because i entered the wrong password.
Now i want to request the security code on the specified internet page
but the problem is that the phone number indicated by me is wrong and i can only choose the options to get the code by call or sms.
The old security code will be deleted the first of december.
How can i change the phone number?
I can't access the security options on my account and to cancel the update of the security code i need the old code.

I have a live.com email address that maybe been hack.
When i input my password it's show my id been hack and need to send security code to my alternative email.
I already choose to send the security code in my alternative email but i don't received any email in my alternative email.
My alternative email is yahoo.com. Is it any error with yahoo mail?
Please help about this. I need to check some old email in that email address.
