Hotmail has my correct phone number, but when the "Call us overprotective..." page comes up and I click "next" to get my security code, nothing is sent to my phone. This is the last time that I can log in! Help!!
NOW this stupid changeover to Outlook is telling me that I have to get a security code. There's nowhere I can find to contact them successfully and it won't let me input an active alternate email address AND I've tried TWICE unsuccessfully to receive a
text message with the code. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Despite multiple moderators telling me what link to go to and I KEEP trying to do so, I am never allowed to get through. The link sends me to the multi-choice page and I select the "problem receiving security code" one. It sends me to the sign in page
and I TRY to sign in, but every time it comes back with a reply of "can't find search results when I try to sign in and states to check the answered ones from the community!
This is a NON-STOP run-around loop for days now and am getting nowhere.
DON'T bother trying to answer this with the same old garbage for same old links as they are NOT working for me. I don't know why they aren't as I am on an APPLE Mac and have cleared everything multiple times and a virus/Trojan check shows ZERO issues and machine is clean.
I guess I will just have to close account and maybe try to make a new account.....IF I feel like staying here. HOTMAIL was great....this is worthless.

For the past few weeks I have been asked for a security code to access my hotmail, I always bypass it.
I receved a text from number 35699189371 with a code. The thing is I have only had this mobile for a few months and I only give the number to friends and family.
Can Microsoft confirm that this is them or is it a phishing exercise
I emailed support and was directed to the forum where it was suggested that I change my password which I did, so far it has worked .
Having typed in a/c address and password, I get a 'verification' page. It says a security code is required for me to access the a/c. I don't have one but they have the correct address for sending me a code (my aol a/c) so I click 'Next' and a message pops onto the page saying "Security code sent to address specified", I check the aol a/c, but no message. Itry about half a dozen times over the next few hours, same result. Finally - still on the verification page - a maessage pops up saying, roughly 'you have asked for too many verification codes foe today. Try again tomorrow". Well. I asked for them, but they were not received. I could go round this loop until the allowed six days have expired, at which point I lose the account. I rely on it for my work as a poet. It's a nightmare. Can anybody help? I wonder if it's a hacking scam - it does require me to have my hotmail a/c and my aol a/c open at the same time, and I have had false msg problems before in hotmail. ANY IDEAS? HELP! I am being denied access to the account because I do not have a 'security code' . Verification screen says one will be sent, address for receipt of code is correct so I click 'next'. An MS msg appears saying 'security code sent to address specified'. But no message from MS has arrived in my other account in-box (aol) I have tried several times, still no msg from MS. Finally, I am told I have asked for too many codes today and must wait till tomorrow. BUT I HAVE NOT RECEIVED A CODE OR ANY OTHER COMMUNICATION ion my aol. If they can tell me about the number of attempts, they can send me the code. I'wondering if this ia some kind of hacking scam - it gets me to open two accounts at the same time. When I open outlook I keep getting a message telling me to have a security code. Microsoft cannot send me this code because they have the wrong email address how do I get my correct email address to them

I could not log on to my hotmail account unless I entered another email address or a mobile no to which a security code could be sent. I received a security code within seconds, could you please confirm that microsoft sent this...thank you
