When I try to log on to my outlook e-mail account the system says I need a security code because I have access to "sensitive" material. I don't know what that means. I am a retired widower with no need to access "sensitive" material. I have had this account for ten year.. This has happened three or four times. But when I get the security code the system won't accept it. Finally it allows me to log in with my password but it warns that I will be subjected to this procedure again in a few days. I am afraid I will be blocked from my e-mail account. Please help me avoid this extra obstacle to my log in and to avoid being blocked from my account.]

please respond to *** Email address is removed for privacy ***. Thank you

The telephone number listed on my account is outdated.  When I try to change it, as well as other pertinent information on the account (i.e. it's time for my annual pymt) I receive instruction that for security reasons they first need to text or call me with a security code.....but of course I don't have that telephone number anymore. When I call Microsoft, I receive a recording that tells me I don't have access to customer service (SIGH).

Since sometime last week, maybe Thursday, I forget when, SkyDrive has been asking me a LOT for a security code, each and every time I log into Windows. Why??????? It NEVER did that before, and I doesn't do that at home. This is becoming a huge PITA!!! When I get to work, I've got a lot of important work related tasks to attend to, and bothering with this nuisance is a huge pain. I'm honestly questioning the usefulness of a cloud based solution that will not save the security code I gave it previously, always asks for a new one, because it NEVER ACCEPTS THE ONE IT GAVE ME THE PREVIOUS DAY!!!!!!

On about four occasions in the past week when n I try to  sign on to my outlook account microsoft tells me I must have a security code because I have access to "sensiitive material." I then  get the security code over my phone or from another e-mail account and submit it. But  Microsoft does not acccept it. The system does allow me to sign in temporarily but  warns me the same thing will happen in four days This has already happened four times in the past 10 days How can I get the system to accept the security code?.  I am afraid my account will be blocked unless I can do that..

thank you for your previous help.

Hi,

I am being harassed for a security code, but the code is being sent to an email address other than mine.

My email address is *** Email address is removed for privacy ***, but the security code email address is *** Email address is removed for privacy ***.

That means I can never update the secuity info because I can't receive the code.

There doesn't appear to be any way to fix this at my end.

Can you help?

A hotmail address that is similar to mine is trying to change my security information. I am getting a security message about 5 times a day giving me a new code and referencing the wrong email address. I am now getting it in spanish.

I am not sure how this can happen and I need it to stop

When I try to sign in to my email, which I've been using for almost a decade it tells me this:
It looks like someone else might be using your account

To help you – and only you – get back into *email*, we need to verify that it's yours.

It then asks me how I want to receive my security code, I picked the option to send it to my other email but I haven't got the email with the security code yet.
