I followed the instructions for the security code using an alternate email address.  I received the code, 20 mins later, then tried to log in.  I got the same page requesting  the same information.  Like a dummy, I filled in the alternate address again.  I now have another code and still get the same page requesting the same info.  Now it has already been established who the dummy is and this dummy needs help.  I still get the same message and I now have 3 codes and still can't get into the account.  What now??

I am trying to change my security code on hotmail and it is supposed to send it to my yahoo account but I did not get the security code to my yahoo...I have tried this several times but I did not get the code and I end up getting this page

I get this message "Call us overprotective, but..." and then asking for a security code.  I have tried having a code sent to both my phone + email but no code is ever sent.  Now I've been told that this is the last time I will be able to postpone entering a code.  I am about to be shut out of my email because I can't provide a code.

Outlook doesn't appear to have any real customer service, just this community forum - which is not a replacement for knowledgable people trained to resolve issues.

I was asked to provide the security code when I log in to my email account *** Email address is removed for privacy ***.   I was asked to update my new phone number however I couldn't update my new phone number as I disconnected it when I left country.  I plan to go back to the States sometime end of this year or early of next year.  By then,  I would contact Microsoft customer service agent to update my information.   But before that, I couldn't afford losing them as this email account is my primary one I use it everyday.  It is very important to keep my account current.    Today I chat with a live microsoft customer service agent about this issue and explain my concern and he suggested me to post my concern to the community and someone will contact me and help me with any options I could have.     Also I have alternative email account(*** Email address is removed for privacy ***), I  couldn't access them because I forgot my password either.  Could you also help me with that?

I appreciate it very much if someone could help me with this issue shortly.

my email ( *** Email address is removed for privacy *** ) has been blocked but i forgot the password to the email that the security code gets sent to. ive filled out the questionnaire many times but because ive ever only had one password, haven't sent an email in years, never made a new folder and never had billing info on it so when i get the email to get the code it says i dont have enough information on the questionnaire. also i think its been hacked please help if i dont get the email back ill lose a lot of important stuff 

Outlook prompted me to request a security code to sign in, but the number that called me with the code showed up as a person's name: Jose Bohl. Was this an attempted hack? If it's legit, please someone ask Microsoft to use a better identifier. It is is a hack, where do I report it?

The email address they want to send my security code is not mine, and it looks like a typographical error - one of the letters in the email address is missing.  I can't change it - for all I know they may have sent the security code there!

 

I emailed some Microsoft support team, with a description of the problem, and they sent me a list of phone numbers to ring ....

 

The person I rang said Hotmail doesn't have telephone support and sent me an email with a link which supposedly should be able to help - couldn't figure it out, so submitted feedback AGAIN outlining the problem.

 

No response.

 

I have had this email address for over 11 years and it is really annoying as I figure after today I will not have access to it any more.

 

I really haven't got a clue what I am supposed to do, and I have no idea how to contact someone who can address this issue.
