I am unable to access my Hotmail account with the password I set and have been using, it might have been hacked by someone.

My security question that I set several years ago and still know the answer to is not accepted which leads me to believe that the account has in fact been hacked.

I contacted the Billing Support to cancel my Office 365 sub and they were able to fortify me through a text (I have my phone number on the account, but not as a verified security proof (so I can't use my phone to access the account)). So with other words - I can prove that the account belongs to me.

I have forgotten my password for my account then blocked it from attempting too many times to remember the password. I unfortunately can not answer the security question as I set up this email 12 years ago at age 14 and chose a very obscure question! I have filled out the questionnaire 3 times stating all previous passwords and put my husband's email for you to please contact me on however I still haven't received anything.
Is there anything I can do as I use this email for everything. I contacted Outlook via Facebook and they advised me to post here.

I have 2 hotmail accounts, 1 created over 17 years ago and the other about 11 years ago.  I do NOT remember my security question from so long ago.  The address from 11 years ago is now totally blocked and I use it for EVERYTHING! The address from 17 years ago will only be good for 3 more days before it is blocked for verification for an entire month! I badly need back into my main hotmail account: *** Email address is removed for privacy ***

 

I have gone through the verification cycle many times, all of the "security info page", "use a different verification option" and "I don't have these any more" options that you guys have suggested to other users that have posted the same issue and I am apparently not providing it with enough information to open it back up.

 

Please respond to my open email account *** Email address is removed for privacy *** within 3 days before this one is blocked also.

Hi, i created my original hotmail account about 7 years ago, *** Email address is removed for privacy ***, about a year ago it was blocked for no reason in particular, i cant use the alternative email as it has been disabled due to inactivity. Because it has been such a long time i cant seem to remember the security question. Please help, i have important information that i need to use.
My friends email is hacked and we can't get it back, we try everything. Security question is changed and with this we can't get password reset. With hacking the email, somebody hacked and his facebook profile so he can't do nothing. How to get back the email because he want to regain control on his facebook profile?

My grandmother has been blocked from her hotmail account, so she is using my account to try to get help restoring her account. This problem began when Hotmail switched to Outlook. She DEFINITELY typed in her password correctly because she has it written down, but she got an error message saying that her account has been blocked because the wrong password has been entered too many times (even though she correctly entered her password only once). She tried to reset her password after that using the security question. She gave the correct answer, because she had also written it down. Yet another error message said that she had entered the incorrect answer too many times.

So then she was directed to fill out a form ("questionnaire") that requires her BILLING INFORMATION, and she does not use XBOX Live, and it is INSANE to require personal billing information to a company you cannot even trust to keep your e-mail safe! 

So either (1) her account has been hacked (and the hacker changed her password and security answer), or (2) Microsoft/Outlook messed something up when it switched over, because that is exactly when this problem started. 

She needs help getting back into her account. She can provide all the details of Contacts, past e-mails, the real security question/answer she has had for years—everything—but no way is she providing billing information. Now, can you help her get her account back, or not? If not, she'll be signing up for Gmail instead and lose all of her e-mail for the past many years, due to this problem.
