My account *** Email address is removed for privacy *** has been hijacked. this is an account that I have never used to send email from although it belongs to me. I don't know how long it's been hijacked but I do know that i have 2 emails that was sent to this address and the only way
I knew is because I received calls from 2 of the individuals who sent email to *** Email address is removed for privacy *** because i didn't respond so I asked them to forward them to me and sure enough email was sent to this account but when i went to sign in i couldn't when i tried to
reset my password i could not use the options listed because the one listed to email password reset is not mine i presume it belongs to the person who hijacked the account as well the security question is not one that i set up or know the answer to so I have
no way to retrieve the account please help
Hi
I recently tried to sign in to my account but received an error saying that my password was incorrect.
I was able to successfully reset my password, however when I login to my account and try to change the Security Information (i.e. alternate email address, security questions, etc) I receive the following message:
You recently updated your security info
We have a waiting period for the updates to take effect. On 9/8/2013, we'll delete your old security info:
**********@hotmail.com
Once this is deleted, you'll be able to verify your account with info you have access to. If you didn't make the updates, or if you still have access to the above info, cancel the updates.
This is NOT my email address (note: I removed the actual email address above for security reasons). I assume it is the hackers who tried to hack me.
Can this address please be deleted ASAP? I am worried he / she can reset my password again as their email address is listed on the account.
Thank you in advance.
My email account was hacked and all the recovery info changed so I cannot get back in. The hacker changed my password, alternate email address, phone number, security questions, etc. They proceeded to send an email to my contact list stating that
I am out of town and my purse was stolen and I need money. I am in fact on vacation right now so this email is quite believable to some of my contacts. I only hope they have not responded to this scammer. I also have important bank account info in my email
(I realize this isn't smart) that I'm afraid the hacker now has.
The first day I could not attempt a password reset because the system told me I'd already done it too many times and to wait 24 hours. I then submitted a support request and did not receive a response at all. It has been over 24 hours. I have since tried
to recover my account again and sent the validation form. I got a response rather quickly that it couldn't be verified and to try again. I tried again and now the response was that I should just make a new account. I tried to use the chat function and both
times the customer service team could not help me. I sent another request for support.
Who can I talk to? This is getting to be ridiculous that no one can help me reset my account so I can advise family that I was hacked and try to salvage my account. Letting a hacker have all my info for this long is unacceptable and no one at Microsoft
seems to care about this security issue. It has taken me a long time to even get this forum post to work. It keeps telling me to try again later.
I had an old email account linked to my new one so I could receive any emails that came through to it. I have not used this account for years and only occasionally checked it to keep it active.
I had received an email with regards to closing down linked account for security.
When I went to try and transfer all emails from my old account I could not remember the password or security questions.
I have tried completing the questionnaire but I cannot supply enough information as I cannot remember.
Surely if the two accounts were linked then it’s clear that I am not someone trying to hack into an email account.
How can I get access to the old account so I can transfer all the emails then shut down the account?
I have been using xbox live for 4 years approx using an old hotmail email address but microsoft have now blocked when updating their security.
It was so long ago since I set up the email account I forgot passwords etc but had just paid full years membership. Is there another way to gain access through a new live account I have just set up?

My email account klcv@msn was locked. Microsoft On line safety team thinks that someone just kept typing her email address in error. May have had a very close email. If I have answered all the security questions
and nothing seems wrong then why not give me my account back? I've had this emaila address since 1998. I cannot lose all my email because someone at microsoft is just being unrealistic. Not giving my account back has caused me to have to use my husbands email
as the contact email and to use my Comcast account,. To date I have not received a valid reason to keep this account locked.
I need to know who to contact at Microsoft to recover an Email account for a person that's had a stroke and unable to remember the security questions. The person with power of atty needs to access their past emails.
I've been hacked, and I have more times than i can remember, tried to reset my password but it just wont happen.
I've gone through the process of entering my details, getting an email sent to a secondary address, answering security questions and all sorts.
Cant seem to find any way of contacting windows live directly to see if they can help either.
Does anybody have any idea as to what to do please?
Has anyone else had a request from a Windows Live Hotmail Team (email *** Email address is removed for privacy ***) asking for your account name, password, security questions etc. They keep telling me we will loose our hotmail email account if we do not provide this information? Is this
a scam??
