With recent updates to Outlook I am finding that all my email accounts - whether I want to or not - are being involved in the send and receive process. I have old mail boxes which I keep as archives. I don't want these to connect to the server. So every
few minutes I get a message saying
"Mail could not be received at this time
The server for account xxxxxx return dthe error "[AUTHENTICATIONFAILED] Authentication failed.' your username/passord or security settings may be incorrect. Would you like to try re-entering your password?" No Yes
I have set up scheduler to exclude these accounts.
If I play around with server information in the account set up, I am blocked - leaving spaces or putting in nonsense does not work. Either account set up does not save or get the same message again. If I put the wrong server details then the entire mailbox
is deleted.
I am also finding similar issues with aliases - the same message as above. In this case the password is right. These are meant to be send only but again I can't set up the account to exclude receive.
Any thoughts? Anybody else finding this to be a problem?
