I upgraded to Windows Live Mail 2012 to solve a problem with sync between my computer and my Outlook.com online account. After I did this I got a lot of duplicate emails. I tried a program Detect Duplicates for Windows Live Mail specifications. After trying it I uninstalled it and ran the Windows Live Mail upgrade program again. Now when I start Windows Live Mail and it checks my email accounts the following errors occur:

Unable to send or receive messages for the Outlook (my account name) account.

Server Error:0x80048820

Server: 'https://mail.services.live.com/DeltaSync_v2.0.0/Sync.aspx'

Windows Live Mail Error ID: -0x80048820

I have no problem logging in and receiving email if I access my account through Internet Explorer.

I cannot connect with windows live mail.  It says server has not responded.
I have installed Outlook 2011 on a Mac with OS 10.8.2. I can ping our Exchange 2008 server but can not make the connection to the server with Outlook, any ideas? Is there and SPs that need to be installed on Exchange 2008 similar to what is required on Exchange 2007?

Windows Live Mail 2011

Moved from the Windows Update forum to Windows Live Mail | Sending and Receiving Mail

cannot send emails hung up in out box.  I am using verizon fios. my outgoing server is 995 at outgoing.verizon.net

I cannot create rules to move messages to folders on Outlook for Mac 2011. I get the message "Outlook for Mac cannot create or edit server-based rules for this account since it is not managed by Exchange 2010 SP1 or later."

However, GoDaddy is the Exchange Server Host and they are up to date on the Service Packs.

Thank you for your help.

For some reason it always defaults the event to my first calendar.

Is there an option somewhere I am missing that allows you to select which calendar appointments are being made too?
Hi all,

My wife and I recently purchased a MacBook Air and Office for Mac, and I'm having trouble configuring her Outlook accounts so that she can sync with her two iPhones (one for work, one for personal use). She was previously using Outlook for PC, so she has brought a lot of data to the conversion.

I can't understand where I should put her Calendar and Note information. Here is what I can figure out after talking to her:

1. She has an account for her company that is provided via a Microsoft Exchange server. Her company sometimes posts calendar information, such as meetings and appointments, into this account for all of the employees to see.

2. She also has a large amount of old notes and appointments that she doesn't need to share with other employees,  but are quite vital to her work.

3. There is also a large number of personal entries in Notes and Calendar that she didn't classify, and she had previously entered these (in her PC version of Outlook) on her company profile.

So my questions are:

1. Should I continue to use JUST her MS Exchange Server account for all Calendar entries, including personal things etc, or should I put personal things into the 'On My Computer' account? When, in fact, should I use the 'On My Computer' account? It seems that many people turn this off in Preferences.

2. She can only sync up to her work MS exchange Server via wifi when she is in her office. Will this pose a problem when working from home?

3. Will her iPhone automatically sync up to the 'On My Computer' calendar entries by default?

Thanks very much for your help!

Regards,
ANDREW
