I cannot log into windows live instant messenger and it won’t reset the password either

everytime I go to windows live instant messenger,, my log in comes on automaticially and when I put my password in it won't connect it tells me to trouble shoot, I have done that , I have sent windows live messages, nothing is letting me sign in, I have reset my password but still get the same ole messages.
