Hello,

I am using Hotmail on a Mac (Firefox browser) and each time I sign into Hotmail, the Messenger signs in too. I do not want this. There must be a way to get this to not sign me in automatically. I know I can just "sign out" each time, but there has got to be a setting to either disable this or, delete my Messenger account completely. No more auto-sign-in please!

Thanks so much for any insight!
My password accidently went onto my sign in name block. How can I remove this?

My hotmail account tells me that I have "filtered out" my contact list; yet when I send an email I can access the list for that "letter".    I also have a problem when I sign in I get a message telling me that "hotmail is not available", do I want to retry and then I get in.    What is happening?   I am new to hotmail and do not understand this.

when I sign in and I check the box that sayes keep me signed in ,but it doesn't

1. i needed a new account address for" family mails" when i changed ISP as the  one authorised by that account was discontinued.

2. As you used to be able to sign in with several different hotmail as required i made a new address for "family use" in Hotmail

3 .Without warning the old hotmail address i have used for years was immediately discontinued .  as i used that hotmail for  for logging on accounts for ipad, kindle etc. that was quite brutal and annoying. why did Hotmail do this.I now have to go to the trouble of altering all my current accounts.

4. used to rate Hotmail quite highly-- not so impressed now i can tell you

5. is there any way of getting my old Hotmail address back again

When i open windows live, all of my emails appear and can be opened before i actually sign-in via the pop up box.  Can I set windows live mail to not open up to my inbox without first askng me to sign in?  (Once I do sign in, I can then create and receive emails, though my inbox is visible and accessible before I sign in.  This isn't great as I share the computer!  thanks
