When I open Sky Drive all my folders are right there visible to anyone who opens Sky Drive.

How do I mark as private those files/folders I do not want to share?

TIA

Fred, Sr.

my computer is a pesario  CQ57 windows 7. i Ihave just got sky drive and sent an email with photo email.to check I sent it properly  I went to sent box. beside the title on the photos was written "download" which I clicked . I got access to all areas of my computer- files docs everything. does this mean the recipient will be able to access my whole computer? I am most concerned that I could have done something that stupid. do I change my password if this is the case. it all looked straightforward to me . can u help please? This has never happened with my other emails.

Assuming as I do that it would be reckless in the extreme for me as an attorney to use only the web (skydrive.live.com) rather than using the skydrive app (sometimes called the skydrive desktop tool--pls correct me if they are not in fact one and the same) which simultaneously stores on hard drive, is it all stored on a root skydrive folder on hard drive? Specifically, please tell me in the following scenario which is correct or if neither is correct:

If under present local storage, my files (say document XYZ below) are (under netwok drive) stored as follows:

                          K Drive
                                1000
                                     1000.1
                                             Jo Schmo
                                                Document XYZ

and if I am working on that Document XYZ will skydrive  first, start a whole new tree, or will it retain the tree, substituting only "Sky Drive" for "K Drive". Second, assuming the latter because I opened up Document XYZ, what about a new document--do I immediately on starting need to "save as" somewhwere in order o avoid it falling into some SD default hole? Reading the stuff about where SD is saving on hard drive, some users seem not to be able to locate exactly where particular files are sited by sky drive.
I see in the discussions substantial issues re not only the interface of 2013 Outlook but also some technical matters. Reason to go to 2013 (or 2010) from my happy use of 2003 (2007 may have been similar) is that tech says must move to at least 2007 in order to park files and email on cloud, and that 2013 is easier to use whereby I will save files to cloud much as I currently save to a drive on server. As opposed tp a more complicated process with 2010.

Question: First: Does that single step file saving process require that I also have outlook 2013? (I dont understand why my email program should impact the file saving function.)

I need outlook 2013 the q is which hassle is greater--dealing with outlook 2013 or dealing with a two-step file saving process. I am averse to being a pioneer--2010 would be enough of a change, but some of the 2013 issues (headers in reading pane, so far, I cant figure out how to get single lines without headers into main inbox, general appearance etc) are indeed bothersome. Cosmetics count when you deal with it all day long.

I sent a message to customer support and the reference number is 1217623428.

I was supposed to be contacted 24 hours later and never got contacted.

Please help

I'm just learning about Sky Drive.  I've had the Microsoft Office Starter since I got my computer which was about a year ago.  Now can't open my documents because Microsoft wants me to buy Office.  So I am trying the new Office 365 which I guess uses Sky Drive.  When I went to download the "desktop app" can't get it to download.  Why would that be? I have Windows 7.  Also would like to know how find out about this being on both my laptop and tablet.  Do I need to download office 365 for each device?

Sky drive will no longer send some of my emails.  When I try to send mails, I get a message that says,  the file type or protocol (same as what I have used for five years)  does not associate with .... whatever, so I go to sky drive and it tells me to upgrade, so I do that, several times in fact.. nothing is changed.  Then I see a tiny little message that reads, Look for your Sky drive in file explorer. Files in here are on your other devices and skydrive.com.  Go to skydrive.com and it says I have no photos there. (been using skydrive for several years).  Then I fiddle around some more and try to find out how I am supposed to change ,,,, associate a file type or protocol with a specific program.... so I go thru all the lists several times..... getting nowhere, I see at top it says:  control panel/ all control panel items/ default programs/  set associations.  and find nothing of help.

How do I get my emails to go where I want them to go I recently got messages in stranges places telling me to "get rid of Olympus software.  I have been using Olympus software as long as I have had this computer..... ???

Problems with  photo emails have been ongoing since I first got a computer. more that ten+ years ago .... can't you get it right???
