I am having a problem with the skydrive desktop app in windows 7 64bit home premium.

The app has disappeared and isn't there...I have to reinstall it.

I noticed once I reinstalled it, that the box to start when windows starts was unchecked.

Of course, it happened again...no sky drive app...had to reinstall it again....

What could cause this?

I am updating every day windows, But in that I am not getting any update for sky drive But from Past few days I am getting a message

and if I press the click to update button I will get file from the web site (the details are given in the picture

and Now I want to know is it from Microsoft web site or it is any Virus, and if yes what is the solution. (Iam checking my computer every day with Microsoft Security Essential )
Thanks in advance

I have downloaded into Sky Drive photos to share with a few people in my email.   When I have my send to names listed and go to Sky Drive and have picked the folder I want to share I really don't understand where to go from there.  The only choices given seem to be open or cancel.  Can some one give me the steps to follow at this stage so that I can send this folder to be shared with my contacts?

I tried to open my SkyDrive and I get this message:

"Your account has been shut down. Your account has been taken offline for suspicious activity or a violation of Microsoft’s Terms of Use agreement, such as containing photos or images that are in violation of the Code of Conduct. In many cases, the Online Safety team will send out warnings to the email account associated with the SkyDrive account or profile asking for the removal of the photos in question. Failure to do so will result in shutting down the account. In order to have your account reviewed for reactivation, please provide the following information."

I have submitted two support requests and received no answer.

Hi, I may be asking some very dumb question but I'm really confused.

I have a onenote note book, when I check its properties, it shows its location in my Sky Drive -> Documents.

However, when I open up my sky drive app on my start screen, Sky Drive says there was no file in Documents folder. All ther files are visible to the app though.

When I open up my file explorer on my computer and access my Sky Drive, the onenote note book shows up as a weblink in the document folder, and the size is around 1 KB.  But when I go online and open up Sky Drive ->Document in a web browser, I can see the file and the space (50 MB) has already been taken up by the note book.

The notebook is synchronizing all the time and I have no problem using it.

So my question is, why is the notebook invisible in my Sky Drive App on start screen? Why does the file shows as a web link in my file explorer yet it has already taken up space in Sky Drive?
Hi,
I just went onto Sky Drive and found almost all my photos had disappeared. I just have empty files. I have searched other users' problems, and it seems I am not the first person to experience this problem, and that Microsoft have not published any fix (they just said things like "oh, maybe you deleted them, check the recycle bin..." er, no, I didn't do that).

I'm in the process of getting them back now - I've had to open up my old, slow, almost dead PC where the folders were stored originally and re-sync them. But I shouldn't need to do this! I've uploaded them so I don't have to worry about my old PC dying on me... This is exactly one of the problems Sky Drive is supposed to solve. So, Microsoft, can you provide some sort of explanation? Or should I just switch to DropBox or Google Drive or one of the miriad other cloud storage services which seems to work properly?
Thanks
On my PC I utilize 3 of the Outlook.com (formerly Windows Live) applications every day, email, Sky Drive for Backup, and my Outlook Calendar. I love it, this website is a job well done by MS. And now that I subscribe to Office 365, it's even better.

I recently bought a Samsung Galaxy S3 and downloaded the Android Outlook.com application thinking it would be just like going to Outlook.com on my desktop. However, much to my surprise, it only provides access to my email. I cannot access my Sky Drive data files or the calendar via this application. Why not?

Then I found a Sky Drive Android application which provides access to my Sky Drive data files.

Finally, I searched for an Android app which provides access to my Outlook calendar but couldn't find one. Is there one? Even better, is there one Android application which provides access to the 3 main components of Outlook.com (Email, Sky Drive data files, and the Outlook calendar)?

Thanks

Hello All,
I used to use outlook, then windows mail as a way to send reduced size pictures to friends, family and others. Can I use the current windows live mail without having the pictures posted to sky drive so when I send to the others, they can not see my entire album? Is this as easy as disabling sky drive somehow?
Simply put, I only want the pics that i send to go to the people that I send them to.
Thanks.
regards
Neal
