Since sometime after Microsoft merged with Skype, when I am accessing SkyDrive.com and working on documents, I notice notifications for incoming Skype IMs.

While working, in particular, in a OneNote document, I cannot see a way to acknowledge, see, or dismiss the notification.  It just flashes in the tab.  The words in the tab for this open web page alternate between the name of the Notebook I'm working on, and the words "2 New IMs"

I find this constant flashing distracting, and would really like to turn it off.  But when the only SkyDrive tab you have open is one where you're working in a OneNote document, there is nowhere you can click to either go invisible, or see the messages.

If notifications are going to show themselves on a given page, then there needs to also be an interface on that page to deal with them.

Thank you,
Sandra
Hi,

We are working with a team of 3 people. We will be using Office365. I want to use one skydrive account where all our office files will be stored. We use a lot of folders and subfolders.

Is it possible for every team member to acces thesame skydrive account, work on files and save them again in the right folder?

Thanks for your input.

Mike
I use Chrome on a MACBook Pro 2012 running OSX 10.7.5
Photos are synced to skydrive from my Nokia Lumia 925 WP

When I click "DOWNLOAD" on a photo in the skydrive on my MAC ...nothing happens.
I search the MAC for the file name (ie. WP_2013) but there are no related files.

WTF?

This is BS!

One of my devices is a Windows tablet with 64gb storage.  Of course, a large chunk of that it taken by the OS.  The remaining memory, however, has been gobbled up by syncing with SkyDrive (I recently purchased 200gb of SkyDrive storage).

Is there a way to

1. remove these files from the tablet without deleting them from SkyDrive *and*

2. Use SkyDrive on the tablet without syncing the huge files which will render my tablet useless?

Thanks in advance!

Hi:

I'm trying to use SkyDrive on an iMac running OS X 10.8.5 but SkyDrive will not automatically upload any files.

If I save a file directly into my SkyDrive folder, it does not upload. If I save a file elsewhere and then move it into my SkyDrive folder, it does not upload.

No files at all are uploaded automatically from the computer to SkyDrive.

However, if I drag and drop a file onto SkyDrive, com (using Safari), the file shows up on SkyDrive.com and then properly syncs down to the computer.

If, on SkyDrive.com, I click the "Upload File" link and select a file, the file shows up on SkyDrive.com and then property syncs down to the computer.

If, using Office Mobile, I create a new document, the file shows up on SkyDrive.com and then properly syncs down to the computer.

So, the computer can obviously communicate with SkyDrive and can even upload if I force the upload, it just will not do so automatically. This rather obviously defeats the purpose of the app.

I've unlinked and re-linked SkyDrive. I've unlinked, deleted, and reinstalled SkyDrive. SkyDrive says it is up to date. SkyDrive displays no errors. SkyDrive will not automatically upload either from its root folder or from a subfolder. File names are short and contain no odd characters or even spaces. The files are just Office documents.

When I check the logs, it *appears* that the SkyDrive client can't connect (which seems odd to me, given that I can force an upload and it works just fine). The items written to the log while I composed this post are:

Any help would be appreciated as this is frustrating beyond all belief. Dropbox just works; it seems like SkyDrive should, too.

Thanks,

Hello,

I want to purchase more space on Skydrive using Paypal. Whenever I do, Skydrive will not accept it. How can this be fixed?

I have many documents to be reviewed by several reviewers. Titles of the documents are listed in column A of an Excel spreadsheet uploaded to SkyDrive. These titles act as hyperlinks to the actual pdf documents which are assembled in a separate SkyDrive folder. In THEORY, a reviewer can be invited to share access to the spreadsheet by email, and without signing up to Skydrive can scan the list of titles and select a document to review by clicking on the title and have the document come up on their screen (and download it). In PRACTICE, this worked when I tested the process by sending an invitation to share the Excel file to my other email address, and responded from the same (Macbook Pro) computer I used to upload the Excel file and document folder. However, it did NOT work in a more realistic test when I sent the same sharing invitation to a colleague who does not have a SkyDrive account. She could access the Excel file in SkyDrive, but attempts to access the document by clicking on the hyperlinked title failed. I'd rather not have to 'share' all the documents with all the reviewers, and also not require them to sign up to SkyDrive. All suggestions welcome, thanks!
