Can I purchase a code for storage and give it to someone else? If so how and where would I do that? If not this would be a good feature to have like Xbox live memberships.  I think it would be a good present.
I lost all files from my old pc, I thought files were kept in the email from where they were sent from, but now I find that they appear as "This item might not exist or is no longer available. This item might have been deleted, expired, or you might not have permission to view it. Contact the owner of this item for more information." I am the owner of the files. I hope those could be retrieved. Awaiting for your reply. Blessings. Axl Mihai
I have started an upload of 285 photos from my iphone 5 to my skydrive. This has now been going for over 12 hours. How do I stop the upload, as it is using up my dowload allowance from Telstra. This is the first time I have used skydrive, so I am a complete novice on this. Thanks
My skydrive has suddenly stopped syncing with my pc. When I rightclick on the icon on the taskbar the sync button is not active. I have had no problems until this. I have tried on my laptops, and it is the same problem. I have loads of space available, and my account is fine. Others have succeeded in uploading into our shared folders, and syncing with their pc's and mac's. Like them, I can upload directly to those folders by dragging directly to Skydrive, but not through my pc skydrive folder.

Please help
Time for a new phone so I am testing an iphone 4 with then new v7 OS.  I downloaded the skydrive app and I can't seem to download non-photo files using the app.  I've searched on the web and through the forums where I can find a reference to manually downloading a file.  Is this in the app or through a browser like Safari or Firefox?

I can manipulate files within skydrive, login easily, view most formats (I assume the phone doesn't have the right viewer or software), but I can find no in-app way to download.
Cannot open downloaded excel files on any computer except the one that has Skydrive app on it. Get message stating the excel file contains unreadable content. Files are uploaded to Skydrive using excel 2013 and are downloaded and attempted to open using excel 2007. Each computer has the newest service pack and has all microsoft updates installed. Problem started on 9/30/2013.
Thanks,
Jon
I uploaded a lot of files to Skydrive several days ago.  My older laptop crashed.  I purchased an external drive to upload files.  All the folders and the contents were available in Skydrive.  After, purchasing a new laptop, I began downloading my files to the new one.  I then moved the files from my Skydrive folder to My Documents folder.  Today, I logged on to do some work and all of my folders were empty.  Documents and files that were not in folders, remain.  What happened to ALL of my work?  I have a backup for most of the work, but all other items recently created are no longer available.  I located many of my documents in the Recycle bin within Skydrive; however, I did not Recycle anything in Skydrive.  I selected all and clicked "Restore."  ~ no luck.  I received a message at first to Keep both - yes.  Nothing added.  I tried again, and now I receive the message that:  Items may have been deleted, or I do not have permission...... I am the owner.  What's happening?  Please help me to restore my documents.  So disgusted!  Not new to this type of technology.
My SkyDrive was uploading files when my baby pressed the power button and turned off my PC. When I restarted my computer the error saying that the SkyDrive folder could not be found. After clicking the OK or Cancel button, the SkyDrive program exits and stops working. Restarting SkyDrive prompts the same error over and over again... and exits after the prompt. This means I could not get to the "Settings" or to any menu items from the SkyDrive system tray icon.

The only thing that I could do is reinstall SkyDrive and choose the existing SkyDrive folder.

I saw the same error on my laptop... but I am not sure what happened why the error suddenly appeared. But I think something got corrupted... same as what happened to my PC. Bottom line is that SkyDrive is too sensitive and any unwanted interruption can simply corrupt something and stops SkyDrive from working. I hate reinstalling SkyDrive over and over again and going through the entire long process of "Processing Changes" and etc. I'm not seeing this issue on my Google Drive. Probably this is what I get for choosing the cheaper SkyDrive alternative.

I got this message "skydrive is undergoing some routine maintenance and should be back up shortly. Please try again" and i can not access my files on SkyDrive. I was tried follow this help http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windowslive/forum/skydrive-sync/skydrive-is-undergoing-some-routine-maintenance/bb91de6f-528a-453a-b135-943a1faf81a0 but not resolved

Hello,
I tried to switch from Dropbox to Skydrive but have some problems with syncing files in Skydrive now.

Skydrive is trying to sync something and it's not able to do it, it never stop syncing and it shows very large file size (see screenshot)
I don't understand what is happening there.

Thanks,
Alex.
