Hi,
I told a friend to get space on skydrive but he said he "couldn't" and ended up buying storage on Google instead.
So I tried his steps:

Goal:  I want to learn about skydrive
Steps:
-I make a search and go to www.skydrive.com, but i am immediately redirected to login.live.com.
-I click on "Learn More" and I land on the same login page but without any link to anywhere else. I'm stuck.

Result: I cannot just read and learn info & pricing about skydrive without creating an account first???
We need a link somewhere to be able to get info without signing up.

Thanks MS for fixing this !

Last night I went to access my SkyDrive and found that all my files and directories were missing.  There were only four high level directories with one or two files in each.  This morning I found all my missing data in the SkyDrive recycle bin.  When I chose to Restore All – everything was indeed restored.  I’m wondering whether this has happened to others (all SkyDrive data ending up unexpectedly in the Recycle Bin, i.e. a SkyDrive quirk) or whether my SkyDrive security has perhaps somehow been breached.

My OS is Windows 8

Thanks,

Nick

I have plenty of free space. I've paid for over 100GB and have over 55GB of free space in my Skydrive account. However, this is the third day in a row in which the Skydrive client has seemingly stopped uploading. It doesn't give me any errors or say it's processing changes or anything. It just stays stuck on a particular, low number, claiming it's on/uploading about 300-400MB out of over 20GB. I've left it running like that for five hours at a time with no changes. I have a good internet connection. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the client to no avail. Please advise.

PS - I am using a Lenovo N585 laptop running Windows 8.

PPS - There are no sync errors pertaining to file names containing asterisks or anything like that.

Thank you in advance for any and all help.
Why is Skydrive in a continuous loop of syncing?  It syncs folders and then restarts to repeat the same process. This has been going on for days now.
I , too am unable to access my folders on Skydrive using the Android App.  I get the message:
This folder can't be displayed.
This folder can't be displayed.  Make sure you're connected to a Wi-Fi or cellular network and then tap the refresh button.

My Wi-Fi connection is active.  I am currently using the Gingerbread version of Android.

I have already tried uninstalling and reinstalling Skydrive without success.  I can access the skydrive from my browser but I get an untrustworthy certificate message.

Can you help me?

I have a desktop PC and Laptop PC both running Windows 8. I also have a Mac Desktop at work running 10.8.5. I have a 100GB storage upgrade on my account.

Skydrive has been working fairly well on my Windows 8 PCs, but on my Mac, when I create folders or files in my Skydrive folder (locally), the files will successfully upload, will be available via the skydrive.com website, and even sometimes get downloaded to my Windows PCs. But then, randomly, all of the files I added to Skydrive via my Mac get moved the recycle bin on Skydrive.

I have found that I can go to the recycle bin via Skydrive.com and restore the files, but it is becoming very tedious and time consuming.

Here is some of the troubleshooting I have done.

Uninstall/Reinstall of Skydrive app on Mac.
Unlink and relink account via SkyDrive app on Mac.
Restore all files on Skydrive folders on both Mac and PCs. Made sure everything was synced and all files were correlating.
Move local Skydrive folder on Mac.
Synchronized time and date settings on all computers.

Still, whenever I add files from my Mac, they end up in the recycle bin at some point on my skydrive.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I seem to have become bitten by this dreaded issue, sadly.  When trying to sign on to SkyDrive, the screen is stuck on "Signing in..."

I have done the following so far:

1. Ensured that my DNS settings are 208.67.222.222 and 220.220.

2. Uninstalled/reinstalled SkyDrive.

3. Verified my Trusted Root Certificates are correct and valid.

4. I have collected the .CAB file.

5. Ensured that my IE settings are Medium-High.

5. Deleted my whole SkyDrive folder and started over by reinstalling the latest version.  (I also deleted %localappdata%\microsoft\skydrive\settings\)

I'm on Windows 8 and would really like to get this working.  Thanks in advance!

Hello,

My name is Piotr, and my wife Eliza is having issues with her SkyDrive.

I should disclose that I'm Microsoft employee. and I just upgraded my home pc to Windows 8.1 Pro RTM.
My account works fine, but my wife's account, the one I'm currency sign as is unable to sync files. the SkyDrive folder stays empty.

I tried multiple times removing her account from the pc and add it again, but that did not help.

Any ideas what is wrong?

Piotr

Hi,

I am using Outlook.com. When I receive emails with pictures, files (e.g. word, excel,...) attached, how can I transfer these things directly to my Skydrive without having to download and then upload to Skydrive?

Thanks in advance.
