ok after updating my phone Nokia 925 with latest update it seams to have done something to SkyDrive

now my photo tiles are now blank(grey) and when you click on the tile the photos in the file also don't show up or only one or two of them do, also it says 'cant get pictures from SkyDrive. It may be a connection issue....so I look up on here for help..also have tried on my PC and its the same thing on there as well. Is their a problem with SkyDrive at the moment? Or has it some thing to do with up date of the phone? Have also logged in on my Nokia 720 which doesn't have the update and its the same thing on that phone..

I understand that skydrive will only support certain Video file types for streaming.  However, my question is will Skydrive or some other plug-in (e.g., windows live photo gallery upload to skydrive) do an automatic pre-convert while uploading to skydrive so that the file loaded is in the proper format for streaming.

The goal is to have a seamless and trouble free process whereby I can merely upload videos to skydrive and not worry about the raw video file format.  I do NOT want to have to add another step to convert the file first.  That I already know how to do.

Thanks.
I have been uploading family history files to Skydrive and have been progressively sending links to family members over a period of time. Is there an easier way for them to return to the shared folders at a later period of time than having to locate the original link? I am not a user of Facebook. Thanks.
For days now, the SkyDrive icon shows two clouds with a moving green line underneath. On hovering over the cloud, it states Processing Changes. There has been no other error message when I right or left click. About a week ago, I unsynched my desktop SkyDrive, uninstalled it, reinstalled it, and then resynched it. Missing files on my desktop SkyDrive appeared to be added from my online SkyDrive. The SkyDrive online had more folders and files than the desktop version. Because I use SkyDrive as a form of backup, I need to SkyDrive to do its job dependably. I hoped this would fix the problem.

That problem seemed fixed, but a new one has emerged. There is no clear error message other than the fact that Skydrive is "processing changes".

I use SkyDrive as a way to keep my devices synched with my data and thus backed up. It is my main form of backup. I stopped using both Carbonite and Google Docs when I switched back to Office 365, Outlook Desktop, and Outlook.com. However, SkyDrive is proving unstable and inaccurate. Error messages when they do appear as so vague and cryptic that they are useless. When the new Office 365 came out with promised seamless integration of Outlook and outlook.com, automatic file synching on all my devices, I was ecstatic. MS Office products are much more powerful than the Google stuff I had switched to because Outlook never did synch well with anything but Exchange Server, a pricey luxury that I could not justify using. So, now both my wife and I are experiencing many problems with SkyDrive. It seems impossible that a company with the size and reach of Microsoft would put out major software that is so unstable.  I feel stuck because I want to use MS products as I have for decades now. But I need to know it will work. And it does not so far.

I hope there is a simple, elegant, and thorough solution.

I am using Windows 7 64 Bit on a PC. I am up to date with all of the recommended fixes from MS.

When trying to access the Instructional Tech group in my Skydrive account, my co-workers and I started getting this error message last week.

I've looked through several similar posts in this forum about the same issue. This is a group that we used regularly, so I do not understand why it would have been inactivity that caused the group to be deleted. All of my other groups are still working, although many of them have probably not been accessed for months.

There are 6 of us with access to this group. All of us are getting the same message - we have tried from home and office, with Macs and PCs (Windows 7 and XP)

Please let me know what we can do to recover this data.

My Skydrive says it has recently updated, but has nothing new.  The files are not organized like they are on my computer and some upload and others don't.  Mainly I wanted to use Skydrive for backing up my photos and videos, but this is no good to me if only some of my picture or videos get uploaded! Furthermore, it is taking up space on my computer, I thought it was supposed to be saving in a cloud???

I have the skydrive app for windows 8 and the desktop downloaded skydrive in the file explorer. I can save documents to the file explorer skydrive and I can find it on the skydrive app but when I click on the desktop skydrive in the file explorer there are none of my skydrive folders. Just a LOCK file. Should I have my skydrive folders here or is it just a way to save directly to skydrive not putting anything in folders?
I read an article the other day which talked about Outlook.com and custom domains.  Brilliant, I thought and I set up my custom domain and re-routed my random emails to the new custom email address.  At this point I was feeling pleased with myself.  Only then did I realise my folly!

When I log in to Windows8, it connects to my primary email address, so when I use the web interface of outlook.com it defaults to that and not my shiny new one.  So I changed the email address connected to my user profile on my laptop.

Sadly this means that SkyDrive is now trying to upload 40GB+ of stuff to my new SkyDrive account, making my subscription useless.  I can't change SkyDrive back to the old username, because I'm logged in to windows with the new one.

If I get rid of my old primary email, that will factory reset my Windows Phone.

An integrated ecosystem is great, but there is something missing here!

Ideally, I'd kill my custom email address, then recreate it as an alias on my main Microsoft account and then change it to be my primary alias, but I'm not sure that's possible using the outlook.com custom domain tools.

Argh!

Hello fellow SkyDrivers :o)

I have a 57GB account with SkyDrive on a Windows 8 Professional (64-bit) PC. I have 10.4 GB in my SkyDrive folder, and it is currently stuck at 3MB syncing (see image below):

I have tried removing the SkyDrive desktop application and removing the SkyDrive folder, and then reinstalling the SkyDrive application, but the same issue remains. The contents of the SkyDrive log files: (1) SkyDrive.exe.err.2013-09-13-225224.870, (2) SyncDiagnostics, (3) NEWDELL.dev=0.2013-09-14.0000.5132-4, and (4) SkyDrive.exe.reg.2013-09-13-225224.854 are available at http://sdrv.ms/1bfPs7g

Can anyone help? I have no idea here.

Thank you,
Eamonn
I am having issues on two Windows 8 machines with SkyDrive native application not being able to sign in.  My MacBook Pro also cannot sign in with the native application.

What's up with the service???  When I check the service status, it said running normally?  Really?
