I had a E-mail from MSN support about adding Skype to the navigation bar.  I lost the E-mail, and, when I click on Customize, there is no option to add the Skype button.  What happened to it?

When Hotmail decided to kill Messenger and "upgrade" to Skype, i was forced to do so.

Hotmail however failed on the uptake. They have not been able to merge my Skype and Hotmail accounts succesfully. I even followed their suggestion with disastrous results.

On two separate occasions they asked me to wait 72 hours for the merge to be completed. I was still unable to see my Hotmail Accounts when in Skype.

The other is more isiduous - each time I log on to Skype using my Outlook credentilas - my Outlook account gets hacked. So I am nervous about checking it to see if they have been able to do anything.

Any help/suggestions/pointers?

What exactly does this mean. I chose to go the outlook way rather than Skype and its been working fine for me until yesterday now this is the error message I get every time I try to sign in. It just keeps saying the service is unavailable and to try again later.
Hello,

Since last monday I have a problem with Skype. Some of my MSN contacts appear offline, as well I appear offline to them when we are all online. This only happens for some of my MSN contacts, for the other accounts that I merged such as Facebook, Twitter, Google... everything is working just fine.
This is happening on my Skype for desktop, my windows phone and also inside hotmail.

Thank you.

Jaime
I have Skype app operational and can enter it through the Windows 8 Start tile (latest Mozilla Firefox)
I would like to have a shortcut on my desktop/taskbar so I can switch easily.
I can't any way to set up a shortcut there, using the old looking/right-clicking options/control panel/start menu searches.
No success, whether in destop/taskbar or Skype page (which doesn't have any help section).
I see no sign of separate Skype program in programs and features from old control panel either.
How can I get a shortcut for Skype on my desktop/taskbar?
Or is that even an option in the wonderful Windows 8 world?
