This is awful! I cant cut my question from the title area and put it into here where it belongs so i had to delete it and retype the whole thing out again .  I hate this already and i havent even had a reply :(

I added a contact on skype and skype alone, however , outlook decided to grab the info too as they are in partnership with skype!

Since adding , i now wish to get rid of this contact forever , so on skype , i have deleted and blocked them . I got into outlook people list  and surprise surprise , they are still on the list , but when i highlight them and click on delete, i am told they only exist through skype so need to be removed from there to disappear from here. That would be fine but they arent on skype anymore in anyway and i never added them under msn or live outlook section of skype , i signed into my official skype acccount ,please help as i really dont want them visible anywhere anymore
I keep seeing the term " https://rendezvous.skype.com/skypeinoutlook-iframe.html?origin=bay174.mail.live.com...... " in my history, yet I get nothing but a blank page when trying to re-open it.  Other people are apparently experiencing the same issue, with no anwers when questioned.  Has there been a response to this problem yet?  Thanks
Hi,

Hopefully, somebody here can help me, as I can't get my head around what's going on with my contacts.

I use Skype and log into Skype using my Microsoft login. I use Skype from my PC as my main telephone, calling telephone network numbers here and abroad.  Nearly all of my contact details are in my Windows Live Mail contacts and thus by synching in the "People" section of Outlook.com.

I would like to be able to see in Skype, all of the contact information that I have in the People section of my Outlook.com (or in the contacts of Windows Live Mail). That would enable me to, for example, call somebody on Skype using the telephone number that I have in my Outlook.com "People" section.

But when I log into Skype (even after unlinking and relinking it to my Microsoft account), all I see are a few contacts that I added by hand into Skype or that I used to have in (MS) Instant Messenger. The vast majority of my "People" contacts and, importantly for Skype, their telephone numbers are not available to me.

I cannot seem to import the contacts from Outlook.com or Windows Live Mail.

I did try exporting some contacts from WLM as *.vcf files, but when I used the "Restore contacts from file..." function in Skype, it accepted the file, but their contact did not appear in my Skype contact list. Outlook.com will only export to a CSV file, which Skype doesn't seem to want to accept.

I even installed the Skype Plugin for my browser, in the hopes that I could use the Outlook.com interface to make the calls through Skype... but it seems that I can only make such calls from within the Messaging section of Outlook.com - and for some reason most of my "People" don't appear in that section.

Those few contacts that did appear in the Messaging section, did not offer the Skype call option if they were off-line... but since I use my Skype calling as my telephone, I also need to be able to make Skype calls to people by calling their telephone number, even when they're offline.

It occurred to me, that Outlook.com must be holding a separate contact list for Messaging, so perhaps I should try to add all of the contacts in my "People" section of Outlook.com to the Messaging section... but I can't seem to see a way of doing this automatically. Apparently, I need to invite each email address individually, which would be a major bind.

So can somebody tell me, how I can easily get all of the Name and Telephone Number details from my "People" section in Outlook.com (or from my contacts in Windows Live Mail) into my Skype interface, so that I can call their numbers?

I've seen some similar posts but I have not found a solution to my issue yet.

I log into outlook.com using a hotmail account (which I've owned for almost 15 years), which was also used for Messenger (and now for Skype). and I haven't had any issues at whatsoever.

Until recently. A few days ago I noticed that all my Messenger contacts in Skype were shown as Offline, eventhough I confirmed that most of them were actually online. When I ask them to verify, they told me that they see ME as offline (and obviously I wasn't). And noticed that the problem occurred in multiple PCs (work and home),, on iphone, ipad... so clerly the problem was not client application related but account related.

I contacted Sype support but to be honest they were absolutely of no help. So, I had to keep "researching" about the issue... as I was performing several tests, came to realize that in Outlook.com ALL MY CONTACTS WERE GONE.

If I go to the People page, it says I have NO contacts.

If I try to recover deleted contacts, I received a message saying that I have no contacts.

Checked for virus or malicious sofware... I'm clean.

Just to make sure, I did try several browsers and PCs and even from iPad... only to confirm that it made no diference.

I've browsed throgh this community and tried several different suggestions... none of them has helped. My contacts seeem to have just vanished.

Could my account being hacked?  As I mentioned my account has been active for many years and I cannot afford to lose my contacts. How can I recover them? How can I get someone from Microsoft support to recover them for me?

HELP will be greatly appreciated.

Hi

With all the integration from Hotmail to Outlook and Messenger to Skype, it seems like Microsoft dropped the ball. Even though I have changed my Outlook and Skype pictures, the older picture for Messenger is what is always sent. I can't find any way to change it. Does any one know how?
why can I not get my live messenger contact list on skype? supposed to be automatically on there !!
Hi,

I had been using MSN messenger normally until Microsoft forced to merge my MSN account with Skype account.  Since then, All my contacts were blocked without my consent and I am not able to unblock then anymore.  I have already tried going to people.live.com, Manage>Limit Access but no contact is displayed as blocked even though they are blocked indeed.  It has been also tried to unblock contact once I am logged into Skype by using Live credentials.
I would be happy if someone could take this pain away.

Thanks in advance,

José Alexandre

I don't think so.
I recently add my gmail account with outlook.com to sync my gmail contact in outlook.com - People.

After successfully sync, I update my one of google contact's mobile number. after 2 days, Its still not reflected in my Outlook.com - People
I have checked & it's updated in my Google Contact.

Even I changed my one of the Skype contact & it's also not yet reflected. Don't know how these services are working..
even there is no any such indicator or status or small app from microsoft where we can check the contact side by side.

Now, God (Microsoft) knows when that will sync & updated successfully. Instead if they provide the sync option to us, we can easily sync & take that in my Lumia. Now, I need to update that in two places
1) in Google 2) in LUMIA / Outlook separately because of this bad service sync.

So, we can't guarantee or trust of Microsoft Sync services as we had before.
