I use outlook to retrieve e mails on my mac.
O2 have closed e mail accounts & I have had to set up a new account via windows live with an outlook.com mail address.
I used to access my emails account via pop settings. I wish to remain signed in so my mails come through automatically.
I used to enter Pop & Smtp settings for o2. i.e. pop.o2.co.uk & smtp.o2.co.uk
What do I need to replace these with in order to automatically receive mail?

Thanks

Neil

It is always some user on some forum which is never an authorative answer.

Whether it be Skype

"How do I change my Online Number payments from every 3 months to annual?"

or

"what are the pop and smtp settings for my Outlook.com account?"

or

"is Outlook.com email encrypted or just the login as is the case with yahoo?"

and most other questions too...........

As with all large corporations, they lose sight of their customers and their root and who made them great. and arrogance sets in.

Any help would be appreciated.  No one seems to know why I cannot send my email from my att uverse acct from Outlook on my Mac.  I have used all the settings suggested by tech support of Microsoft and at&t.  Used SSL, used several ports; used my email address; several smtp settings.  If someone is running outlook for mac 2011 and att uverse, and they can send in outlook, I would appreciate to know their settings.  I am ready to give up.
I have outlook 2011 for mac. I also have mountain lion. My email works fine, but this error message keep popping up even though I can send mail without a problem.

I've tried changing my smtp settings according to the help I've found here, but I cannot find this particular error code: -8796.

I also have lion on my laptop, with the exact same account set up and am not having any issues on my laptop, just my tower.

What can I do to stop the unknown error alert that keeps popping up every time mail is checked?

Thank you.
