In Hotmail, "spell check" button disappeared suddenly.  Only red underline appears where my spelling is incorrect.  How do I get the spell check button back?
In place of Spell Check, there now appears a red Exclamation Point and a downward pointing blue arrow. I have no spell check capability. Why?
When I compose a message, some misspelled words will be identified and underlined and when I right click on them an alternative spelling will be suggested.  However, I often find other words in the text that are grossly misspelled that are not identified and will be sent unless I spell check manually and catch them. I used to be able to click on an actual "spell check" icon to spell check the entire document after it was composed.  I don't understand why that feature would have been removed and a less desirable alternative put in.  Is there any way to run a spell check on an document before sending?
I want to put spell check on my hotmail toolbar. I cannot find it now (the bar looks like the above now) when they updated this week from the good, older version. I have to go in to hotmail with google chrome NOT internet explorer as the upgrade caused a lag in typing--the letters appear long after you type them. My tech support people said use chrome instead to fix that problem. But no one knows how to add spell check. One version said press Alt key and then click View > Toolbar. Select from menu. Nothing happens. Why is it gone?
no spell check at top of page.

I use to use spell check in Hotmail and doesn't show up after up dating to explorer 10.  Spell check does show up in windows live mail.

Please advise.

EARLIER TODAY I STALLED EXPLORER 10 AND IT KNOCKED OUT MY "SPELL CHECK ICON" IN OUTLOOK

THIS IS OUTLOOK WHICH WAS PREVIOUSLY HOTMAIL.............NO OUTLOOK EXPRESS

I'VE BEEN ON THE PHONE WITH MICROSOFT FOR HOURS AND GETTING NOWHERE... ALL I NEED IS SOMETHING SIMPLE AS THAT.

THANK YOU

I am running Windows Live Mail on Win8 as the mail app shipped with Win8 is awful. One of the account users on the PC has a continuous spell check that operates in WLM, while the other has a greyed-out spell check icon above the ribbon and no functional spell-check facility. This inconsistency has no logic since only 1 instance of WLM is installed on the PC.  It must be remediable, but I can find no advice or solution anywhere. It's as if MS didn’t want us to use WLM and use the terrible Win 8 mail thing instead.
My spell check does not recognize the words 'yo' and 'yu' as incorrect when writing an email.
How do I flag these words as incorrect spelling on my live.com email?
They are flagged(red lines) when I use my hotmail.com email.
Any solutions? Thank you.
