Multiple e-mails deleted

I have a Windows 7 operating system and I use the Windows Live Mail program for accessing my e-mail on my desktop.  I have been having an issue with the program as of late.  When I open up an e-mail and I got to delete the e-mail that is open it ends up not only deleting the e-mail I want deleted but the next e-mail or two as well.  If I open the e-mail then close the message window and then delete the e-mail it only deletes the e-mail I want deleted.  Why does the program delete more e-mails than I wish to be deleted when the message is open?

 

I scanned my computer and it didn't find any viruses or spyware.

 

Please help.

Email claiming that I have sent too many emails from Windows Live?

I have been sent an email claiming to be from Hotmail telling me that my account will be blocked because I have sent too many emails which is nonsense unless someone has hacked into my account. How do I find out if this email is a scam?

An email from you which says you are suspending my account in order to prevent unwanted bots and spyware using our customers accounts.Is this a scam?

Emails from windows live secuity team asking me to log onto a link which includes msm which I do not subscribe to, to prevent my hotmail account being closed. Is this a scam. 

my outlook email is sending spam (on my mac) how do I stop this and whats causing it???

can't find anything (malware, spyware etch) using kaspersky, mcAffe or norton.
