How do I make a slideshow/preview on the front of the photo tile (app) while in the start screen? How to make the photo app tile live?

I have a brand new hp laptop, just updated to windows 8.1. When I added my first photos there was a slideshow/preview of pictures while I was on the start screen. All the other apps have the live tiles, but not my photos app. How can I make the photo app live again?

Anyone have any ideas? I would very much appreciate it. :)
