I have several emails that I moved to a new storage folder and they went in a subfolder of one of my existing folders.

How do I move them out of the unrelated folder and into a stoage folder of their own.

Hi

Late last night my storage folder just disappeared. Have all my work correspondence under this folder. Can someone tell me where it has gone and how I can restore it. I am new to Windows 8.1 and using Version 2012 (Build 16.4.3528.0331)

Looked at my live account on the web and it is empty.

Please keep any replies simple as I am not an IT person.

Desperately need to regain access to these. I used to use Outlook express and never had such a problem before. I thought they were safe in storage. Please assist. Thanks

I have been using Windows Live Mail for several years and had numerous storage folders created within Windows Live Mail. The storage folders were labeled and any important emails I was able to transfer to the appropriate storage folder. All those storage folders recently vanished. Any ideas on what happened and  on how they can be retrieved or found?

Thanks

I just bought a new computer and transferred everything via Windows Easy Transfer.  I'd researched ahead of time, so thought knew all the issues I'd have and thought I was good.  All my OE mail supposedly transferred into storage files.  I found them and all the folders were there, albeit in a different order.  I checked several, and except for realizing I may have to reorder some, everything looked good.  Went into a sub folder this morning and found an email with the correct subject line, but displaying an incorrect email.   It was an email from another subfolder.  Started checking more emails in more sub folders.  The same misplaced email is in message after message.  What happened to my email???  After spending the entire weekend setting everything up, I am so depressed.

Is there any way to recover a lost storage folder in Windows Live Mail.   I use the program only to download from POP.   I had important emails saved in a storage folder, when the entire folder just disappeared today.  I do not use the windows live backup.  Is there anyway of finding this on my computer.  It is not in the "recycle bin".  Will a system restore to a recent point bring it back?

In my storage folder I used to have a 'Recovered Files' folder it's not there anymore since reinstalling, can anyone tell me how to get it back?

I use Microsoft Live Mail....

In my storage folder I had a business folder with lots of sub folders. Somehow it's gone/deleted/vanished no where to be found.

I know it's not there because my 'Message rules' can't redirect mail to those missing folders.

I've looked in C:\Users\usernamexxxx\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Live Mail  as advised by others, but the business folder(s) aren't in the list.

So it seems they are permanently gone????? unless someone who I will be grateful to forever lets me know where there may be a trash bin I can recover them from?

many thanks

I want to export all of the emails in a Storage folder in WLM to a folder which can be burned to a CD or DVD.  When I am finished, I want the file list to show at least the Subject and the sent date for each email so the list can be an index of the files on the CD.

When I use the WLM Export function, the list of files in the outside folder shows the subjects of the emails as a series of unintelligible letters and numbers.

When I drag and drop or copy and paste as a group to an outside folder, I lose the original sent date in the file list.  Instead, I get the current date as the date modified.

How can I get an intelligible list of the emails in a folder outside of WLM?

Also, is there anyway to convert the file type from .eml to something that can be read by a more common program like Notebook?
