How can I locate the storage folders I used with my last computer just 2 weeks ago in Windows Live Mail? Before purchasing a new one, I moved everything into folders there. Now ... I can't locate them. Help!

I had a crash in Windows LIve Mail on the 23rd of November

I was able to recover most of my email, but everytime it opened it would "recover" - finally it quit, but many of the storage folders were corrupted (all the emails were the same in each individual folder)

So.....just now I hit on an email and everything went totally blank

I have NOTHING in Windows Live Mail

HELP!!

I have no clue what to do!  All my emails gone

Anyone able to help?

I am preparing to back-up my hard-drive as a precaution to WIndows 8.1 upgrade (from Windows 8.0). I would like to back up my various Windows Live Mail "Storage Folders". I do not believe WIndows 8.0 File History protects this data and Windows 8.1 upgrade may delete them.

There is plenty of information on this site on how to export and import contacts and email for Windows Live Mail desktop client but the instructions for back up and recovery (if needed) of email "storage folders" is not clear.  If I go to C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Live Mail.....do I copy to an external drive the entire "Windows Live Mail Folder" or just the folder named "Storage Folder" ? Once I have done this, what do I need to do if I need to recover them after the windows 8.1 upgrade ? Thanks for you help.

Within the past week, I have had problems with putting emails into storage folders. I can put the email into a folder but when I go back to open an email in one of the folders, it will open a completely different email than the one that I originally put in the folder. It will be  completely different email as far as subject matter, date, sender, etc. I cannot find the original email that I put into that folder. In other words, I am losing emails that I put into storage folders. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Slowly pictures in SkyDrive are disappearing - I used to be able to view them in my Library - now they are showing as closed folders with X's on them - This Dell laptop will only be 6 months old on 5/16/13.  I had so many major problems that I downloaded 8.1 thinking that would help - it made things worse - I had it uninstalled and am back to Windows 8.  This is my first experience with Windows - Like my Tiles, but the SkyDrive Tile that used to rotate showing photos no longer does - don't want to be criticized for saying pictures instead of photos - all the same to me - I like my Windows Live Mail - have been like others sending my precious photos to myself to save them, but the last Live Mail Problem I had lost a lot of my Storage folders that I was backing up my photos with - isn't that supposed to be done by SkyDrive??  Have my photos and storage folders gone to SkyDrive heaven?

Thanking you in advance

I have been using Windows Live email program, on changing over to use Outlook email I cannot find a way to access the storage folders that are in Windows Live.  So I will continue using Windows so I can use the storage.   Thank you.
After successfully re-installing the Windows 7 Operating System and Windows Live Mail 2012 I am not able to recover my Storage Folders. My address book was automatically recovered. How do I recover my previous Storage Folders?
I updated my windows 8.1 preview to the final release of windows 8.1 and it didn't seem to keep my windows live mail storage folders.  Is there a way to recover them?  I was still using it because I was getting errors that I using too many folders and could not create any more, is this still a problem?

Total goof up, wanted to go back to restore point, but instead did full refresh.  Files from PC intact, but not emails that were in Live mail program. Contacts and Calendar were there when installing live mail...but no emails or storage folders. :(

Is there any way to get these back?
