Original title: Windows Live Mail service stopped for a few seconds; when resumed, all my e-mail boxes were wiped clear, including storage folders. How do I recover???

Windows Live Mail momentary service interruption resulted in all my e-mail boxes and all storage folders wiped clear. Tried resolving with my server and Microsoft tech service by phone, no results.

Please help....

My profile on Windows 7 crashed and I created a new profile. I was using Windows Live Mail and had to reinstall the same on the new profile. I copied the storage folder (alongwith subfolders) from the old location C:\Users\<login name>AppData\Local\Microsoft\ and put it under the same path in the new login name but it does not shw up once I open Windows Live Mail.
Say I have a storage folder marked Dad, where I store all the emails my father has sent me.  Later I go there to pull up an old email where he sent me an attached picture.  Every email I stored there in this folder is the same.  All the other information is gone.  All my storage folders are the same.  They have many stored folders, but they are all the same within the folder?  How do I fix this?   No Error messages.  Windows 7 64 bit.  Explorer - Windows Live Mail. Yes it worked prior.  Fairly new computer I built and the only changes made were the Windows Updates that Microsoft sent me.
I have successfully migrated from XP to W7 by first installing W7 on a separate partition on my computer.  I then re-installed my programs andmigrated all of my files to the new partition,  That is, everything except my Windows Live Mail storage folders.  Now I'm stuck.   I have Windows Live Mail working in both operating systems, but cannot incorporate my old storage folders into my W7 version.  I want to now remove the XP partition, but have to keep it just to access my old Email files.

Original Title: How can I move these valuable files from one partition to another?

I followed the instructions given to AnitaWolfe and was able to recover a previous version of my deleted folders. However, when I copied them into Windows Live Mail and clicked on them, I got the message "There is no item in this view".

I had restored them to my Desktop before I copied them in WLM and when I click on the folders on the Desktop, the messages are there but show in codes until I actually click on each individual message. Is there something that can be done to bring the messages in WLM and see the messages as they should appear.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

By mistake, I have 2 email storage folders I need to merge.  (I don't use the default email storage folder.)  One is recent emails, the other is older ones.  Both have the emails divided among the same few dozen folders within the overall storage  folder.

How can I merge the 2 storage folders with the least likelihood of badly scrambling the folders within them?

The internet connection is good and Windows Live Mail performs correctly on my second computer.

How can I restore my storage folders and contact list on Windows Live Mail? Our computer had to be completely restored due to a problem and we have not been able to get back our contacts, or the Storage folders in the folder pane.
