Today just like that, a whole lot of action started happening, all my email got out of its folders and landed in the Inbox folder, bolded, unread.  Lost all my Sent emails.  All email were read and filed in various subfolders which I had named.  Everything is messed up.  I am not sure what happened.  Can someone please help me re-set my email and find the sent emails.  I am desperate to see those sent emails and have been trying for the last 4 hours.  Called Microsoft got the run around from phone to phone, never got any help.  Thanks.

I am currently using Windows Live Mail 2012 (Build 16.4.3528.0331) with my outlook.com account on a computer running Windows 7 64-bit and have structured my email storage in a folder/subfolder tree with several levels of subfolders.  I am currently having a problem with subfolders at the second level which, on increasingly frequent occasions, do not show up.  I can recover them by removing and then adding the outlook.com account again but this is not a fix for the problem; it simply allows me to continue working.  My wife also has an outlook.com account on a different Windows 7 64-bit computer and is also having the same problem.

Can anyone help with a permanent fix, please?

Hi, I hope someone can advise, this is driving me nuts! Just got a new computer and am running Live mail 2012 on Windows 7. Everything working just fine until today when after deleting e-mails and sub folders on the old computer - running windows xp - I found that they had also disappeared from the new one.

Eventually I restored Live Mail to an earlier restore point and everything came back. Now comes the weird bit - whenever I close Live mail the subfolders vanish again? The only way I can get them back is to restore again which obviously is not practical. The subfolders are still there somewhere because if I try to create a new subfolder with the same name I get told I can't because it already exists.

I've tried many solutions mentioned online but nothing works -

Any ideas?

Phil

Can anyone advise how can I retrieve my subfolders from my back up? They just disappeared and there are a lot of them with some important information.

Thanks

I've imported my pst file from outlook 2007 to Mac Outlook 2011 I have dozens of subfolders, when I import I can see my inbox and deleted items but I can't see any subfolders. I've read the information on importing and exporting ansi and ascii, adn appreciate the old legacy problems, but as this is Outlook 2007 it shouldn't be an issue. Initially I just copied the pst file and imported, so next I exported all mail to pst in Outlook 2007 and then tried the import I get the same result. If I open the export in OUtlook 2007 (windows 7) it opens fine and I see all subfolders.

How do I get all folders visible? As I said I have dozens of subfolders, I don't want to export each folder separately that would literally take days, Whilst I appreciate I could also create an IMAP session and drag and drop to an IMAP folder, this would also take days. What I want is to be able to easily complete this task.

Appreciate this is the community helping, but can't tell you how annoying it is not being able to do this, searches on the internet just bring up sites trying to sell me a PST to mbox convertor so I can drop an mbox into Mac Outlook 2011, if there are dozens of sites selling this, then why doesn't the big M have a free pst to mbox convertor? After buying Office again, I really don't want to buy more software to make my new software work as I expect it should.

Many thanks in advance.

I use Windows Live Mail on both my laptop and workstation to access email from multiple accounts.  I noticed that Windows Live Mail is not downloading subfolders that were created on the other machine, and the "Download all folders" pop-up menu option is disabled.  How do I synchronize ALL folders and subfolders between my two computers?
moving subfolders from Outlook email account to desktop folder so can read offline?
All my subfolders disappeared from Windows Live Mail (I am using Windows 7, and just couple of weeks ago it was still fine).

I already repaired Windows Essentials (as advised on this fora), but it did not help.

What else can I do?

On outlook.com I am not allowed to create any more subfolders, it tells me that I reached the maximum amount. What is the maximum?

Thanks

Hello,

I use Windows Live Mail 2012 on a Win7 64-bit computer.

After sync problem I removed my Hotmail.com account and reimported the same Hotmail account.

All went well and when I closed Windows Live Mail 2012 (WLM2012) it started to synchronise all my mails from all my folders and subfolders.

After that I openend WLM2012 and I could send and receive new mails.

All my mails were back exept some. So not all subfolders were synchronised.

Are there known issues about this problem?

Does a solution exists for this?

Could you check my email account and see why I have sync problems with the subfolders of the following root folders under Inbox :

  • 03 Social
  • 07 Vrienden
  • 08 Woning

Kind Regards,

Pierre
