original title: Saved Mail subfolders in Live Mail

I have set up my Hotmail account in Live Mail.  It is working fine except that the saved mail subfolders from the Hotmail web client do not migrate to Live Mail.  How do I do this?  Thanks.

Hi Everyone,
When I launch Outlook all my various folders of email messages are there, including many subfolders inside of folders. But whenever I close or minimize the main window and open it later, all the subfolders have disappeared. I have to quit the application and relaunch it in order to get my subfolders back.

Pretty annoying, as you can imagine.

Any thoughts?
Thanks a lot!

Sorry, for all the details above:
- since this morning, I can sign in to Hotmail and can open my hotmail inbox BUT
I can't
- open any individual e-mail in my inbox
- use any of the top toolbar commands, including 'select all', 'mark as', 'move to', etc
- open any of my subfolders on the left, including 'sent', etc

How can I resolve this?

Also, does everybody need to upgrade to Outlook?  I haven't yet and would rather keep the hotmail as is

Thanks for any quick help
Hi,

In Outlook 2011, I have several folders where I store old mail locally, rather than keep it all online in my Exchange mailbox, which has a limited size.

Now I want to backup the folder with my old mail. However, dragging the folder to desktop creates an empty mbox file, because ZERO subfolders are included. Who came up with a silly solution like that?

Is there a way to store folders including subfolders without exporting everything to an .olm file (which in 99 out of 100 cases results in parts of the mail not saved anyhow)? I can only go through every folder manually and drag them to finder, which sucks. A lot!

Cheers

Joe
For some reason today I can't move emails from my inbox in Outlook to my subfolders. Usually works fine. I am dragging and holding the email and nothing happens. Even rightclicking and move isnt working. I am using Outlook for mac 2011.
When trying to open emails filed in certain sub-folders, the quick view pane either shows "Message cannot be found" or shows the content of a previously deleted email.

Most of these emails have attachments and are from financial institutions, could this be a virus/trojan?

i have added my hotmail accounts to outlook, but it did not download all the emails (just past few months) and did not sync the subfolders in hotmail. a second thing, it merged both accounts into one, i like to keep them like in my old outlook in window separate accounts.
 what can i do

I currently categorize many of my e-mails into subfolders inside folders on Microsoft Outlook 2011 for Mac. Trouble is, in past couple weeks, the subfolders seem to have disappeared. No little arrows to expand folders either.

The emails are still there, because I can locate them using Finder.

But I can't actually access the subfolders themselves.

And here's the strangest thing: I can view the subfolders when I first open Outlook until I actually run send/receive mail, at which point they all disappear! If I close and then re-open Outlook, they appear again.

Does anyone know what might cause this, or how to fix?

Thanks!

My subfolders have disappeared from view in Windows Live.  They are still there with emails in them when I go through View and then Go to Folders.  How can I get them displayed as standard ?
