ACTION REQUIRED

I have already spoken to four (4) different forum moderators and provided them all the information they need. I was most recently advised to create a new thread, which I am doing right now.

The last moderator I spoke to (see bottom of post) also said that this issue is ready to be escalated to Support Specialist for further investigation. Please escalate this issue to a Support Specialist now.

LINKS

Below is a link to the other thread I was posting to, before I created this one. This other thread also deals with the same issue.

In this public forum, I am unable to provide more specific information such as screenshots, or a list of my affected accounts.

A MESSAGE TO OTHER USERS WITH THE SAME ISSUE

This is a known issue that many, many people are experiencing. If you or someone you know is having the same issue, please click the "Me Too" button, then post to this thread and let the moderators know.

Getting someone to actually deal with this issue has proven extremely difficult so far, so I also suggest you do what I have been advised to do and request that your issue be immediately escalated to a Support Specialist.

I sincerely hope this post is somewhat helpful to others!

Hi Luke,

I do apologize for the confusion.

For us to better assist you with your concern, please create your own thread and provide the URL of this thread to your own thread and inform the next moderator that your issue is ready to be escalated to Support Specialist for further investigation. This will help us monitor your issue and focus on your concern alone in your own thread.

Your patience and cooperation is greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

After nearly a year and multiple threads on this one issue alone this thread was supposed to be escalated to an Engineer. A forum moderator replied who claims to be a support specialist replied. I can honestly say Microsoft has finally driven me away from PCs and into a Mac.  Some as basic as a font setting was designed to keep the user settings!!! If we're lucky some techy outside of Microsoft will create a work around but I'm not staying! A dedicated Hotmail user of over decade has finally been driven away! RonielD and his post:

Hi Everyone,

I'm Ron a support specialist, I'm sorry for the inconvenience this issue caused you.

I would like to inform you that this is by design as HTML formatting is being used.

This usually happens when you delete the entire paragraph resulting to deleting the tagging information at the beginning of that paragraph that defines the font and attributes of the paragraph.

Furthermore - if the you uses [CTRL+Enter] for line breaks instead of just using Enter; you will retain font information across line breaks when moving to new paragraphs.

Thank you for your feedback,

Regards,

Ron"
