Hello, this is my issue. On a Lumia 920; with my primary MS account/email. A couple of days ago, I went through my email 'junk' folder and deleted over 300 junk emails, tapped sync. When I log into Outlook on a desktop, the Junk folder is up-to-date; as in, all the deleted junk-mails are gone. When I check the Junk folder on my phone, it still shows all the 'deleted' e-junk, plus anything recently arrived. I have tried tapping 'sync' in the email app, I've gone to 'settings-email accounts-long tap the account in question and tap 'sync'. I've tried these steps multiple times, with and without WiFi, before and after a soft re-boot. Note, this syncing does not put the junk mails back into my account, as they are not there when I log on through a computer, they only show on my phone.

When I try to download new mail, it downloads into the Inbox and then proceeds to try to sync all the other folders.   It gets stuck on the same folder all the time and gives me the above Error.  I have windows 7 Home Addition.

I'm doing the one month free trial of Office 365 on my Mac. I thought I'd try Outlook as an alternative to Apple Mail.

My email accounts are via Gmail using IMAP.

But the very first thing I noticed was that out of all the mail clients I've tested, only Outlook seems unable to sync the red flags I've marked many messages with. They do sync in Gmail, in Apple Mail, on my iPhone, on my iPad, with the new Airmail OS X app and even Thunderbird. Only in Outlook do they not sync.

Is there a way to make them sync?

Thanks,

doug
I've just updated to 10.8.3 on my iMac and MBP 15 Retina, and Outlook stopped syncing for me.
When I delete account, and recreate it, it will sync with all e-mails until the moment of recreation, but after that it won't sync with new stuff.

I have the latest 14.3.4 update for Office.

Also, I've googled a bit, a maybe it's a problem because the mailbox has 38 000 items.

It works fine on Exchange web interface, iOS (iPad 2) and BB Z10 (uses ActiveSync)

Thanks in advance!
Just setup Outllook account on Mac.  Email synced fine, but contacts and calendar from cloud (live.com) did not sync.  Do these sync currently on Mac?  Is there something else I need to do besides connecting my outlook account?  thanks

I would love to use outlook.com for my iPhone and on my imac as well on my windos 8 laptop. However it seems i'm not able to sync outlook for mac 2011 with outlook.com. Both are products from Microsoft itself and now it seems then can't make them work together?? Anyone can help me out so I can use outlook for mac 2011 with the new outlook.com in a sync fashion. Only mail seems to have some functionality but I can't sync calendar or contacts. So apart from mac software users Microsoft even neglected their own customers who are using their own products.
The least you may expect is that they give fulle functionality to their own products.
Who can help me out here?
my facebook contacts are not showing online on my windows live account, even my both the accounts are sync

My wife and I share a Hotmail account.  We each have a laptop running Windows Live Mail.  We each want to file or delete email without affecting the other person.  However, this doesn't happen by default.  Presently, if I delete an email in Live Mail, that email will shortly disappear from my wife's Inbox.  Is there anyway that I can disable that sync'ing?

To make things more complicated, we would like to retain sync'ing of calendars and contacts.  And, wife uses Windows Phone 7.5 as well as Live mail.

I have a Surface RT, with the native mail client handling my Yahoo account. Im able to recieve emails sent to this account, but I'm unable to send emails, as they end up in the Outbox. What is the solution for this? When I try to sync, I see a Message saying unable to sync. These issues are new, having only started in the last 2 days. I've had my Surface since October
