I am consistently getting the following error message whenever I log into my account.

There was a problem with the Outlook service (a temporary network connectivity issue that has nothing to do with your computer). Please try again.  If you keep seeing this message, go to Service status to check if there's a problem with Outlook

Which is making it very difficult for me to use my email.

Can you please help me resolve this issue?

Thanks,

Mike

When using the mail search function, I keep getting this: "There was a problem with the Outlook service (a temporary network connectivity issue that has nothing to do with your computer). Please try again.  If you keep seeing this message, go to Service status to check if there's a problem with Outlook."  What do I do?
I am using outlook.com on both my Mac and iPhone and am having massages randomly getting deleted without me doing the deleting.  An attempt to retrieve any deleted messages using your "recover deleted messages" tool proves futile.  I get "There was a problem with the Outlook service (a temporary network connectivity issue that has nothing to do with your computer). Please try again.  If you keep seeing this message, go to Service status to check if there's a problem with Outlook." The emails in question were recent and very important (work related) and this is starting to cause me great worry in the reliability of your service.  Can anything be done?

This is the message I get constantly if I try to open a mail send by LinkedIn:

There was a problem with the Outlook service (a temporary network connectivity issue that has nothing to do with your computer). Please try again.  If you keep seeing this message, go to Service status to check if there's a problem with Outlook.

Every time I am reviewing my hotmail emails, my screen temporarily locks up and I get the following message:  "There was a problem with the Outlook  service (a temporary network connectivity issue that has nothing to do with your computer). Please try again.  If you keep seeing this message, go to Service status to check if there's a problem with Outlook. "  I always have to refresh the hotmail screen.  Anyone else having this problem?  And why?
Hi,

I get the error "There was a problem with the Outlook service (a temporary network connectivity issue that has nothing to do with your computer). Please try again.  If you keep seeing this message, go to Service status to check if there's a problem with Outlook. " when i try to find messages or go trough search pages or try to move messages to different folder.

Can you please help me to fix this issue?

BR,

Rami

Both Outlook.com & SkyDrive are both intermittently working, Outlook.com will open emails, but you try to send an email or search and you get an error message:

"There was a problem with the Outlook service (a temporary network connectivity issue that has nothing to do with your computer). Please try again.  If you keep seeing this message, go to Service status to check if there's a problem with Outlook."

This has been happening for over 24 hours, Outlook desktop client will not connect and update (saying "All folders are up to date" when they clearly aren't. Yet the service status says there's nothing wrong.

I'm not really annoyed that there's a problem but the fact is this has been going on for 24 hours and there's been no change to the service status saying all is normal, it's clearly isn't.

Cheers

this is what I receive ALL the time when trying to get a old email to review.......... There was a problem with the Outlook service (a temporary network connectivity issue that has nothing to do with your computer).........This is one of many issues I am having and another is your customer service. Last time I told them that I updated my browser and I had downloaded Silverlight (microsoft) just like I was told to do. In response I got ...have you tried to upgrad your browser and downloaded silverlight! Obviously you guys don't care to much for what I just said I did or there is so many problems your facing that you guys are just numb the minute you start getting into the issues facing you for the day.

Either way this has been a ongoing problem and there are other issues that I won't bore you with since I cannot get ONE PROBLEM RESOLVED with microsoft outlook. You guys want to be number one in the industry and you cannot handle your communications system. That tells me that there is so much time spent back-slapping NEW ideas and hand shaking going on with new concepts. The problem is that it must be boring for Microsoft to solve customer service issues because I have read the forums and they are  going through it too. OUR EMAIL SYSTEM IS BROKE!!! There is a problem and so no one has a solution to it. WHY CAN'T WE AT LEAST HAVE SOMEONE TELL US THAT THIS WILL NOT BE TAKEN CARE OF SO WE CAN AT LEAST FIND OTHER WAYS TO EMAIL SOMEONE WITH OUT ISSUES.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! yOU GUYS REALLY HAVE MISSED THE BOAT ON THIS. and I am the easiest going guy there is and you have no idea unless it happens to you that your email system has been giving you fits for over 8 months.

Lastly is there a new idea to fix my problem and many other customers too that I have read. How do you correct being able to look up old emails.
Your message I receive is right ...it is not my computer that is wrong, it is a temporary network connectivity issue that has lasted for over 8 months..

I want to delete an entire folder of emails (130,000).  When I attempt it, the site appears to be thinking about it but never does it.  The top of the screen then says "There was a problem with the Outlook service (a temporary network connectivity issue that has nothing to do with your computer).  Please try again. If you keep seeing this message, go to Service Status to check if there's a problem with Outlook."

The Service status page always indicates that everything is working fine.

No matter whether I use the "basic" search or advanced, or how many times I refresh and re-try, I continue to get this message, "There was a problem with the Outlook service (a temporary network connectivity issue that has nothing to do with your computer). Please try again.  If you keep seeing this message, go to Service status to check if there's a problem with Outlook. "  When I check the service status, it says Outlook is running fine.  Clearly it is not.

I'm using Windows 8, IE 10, all fully patched.  What is the problem?
