I've been trying to sync my husband's Tiscali e mail account with his windows phone. He's running Windows 7 64 bit on his laptop with 32 outlook. I created a live account for him using the same e mail address as his Tiscali but with a different password ( I found an article that said this was OK) and using the hotmail outlook office connector all of his folders and e mails synced. Thought I'd cracked it but then he noticed none of his e mails were coming thru ( apart from 1 strangely). I deleted his live ID as I thought that could be the conflict and it made it difficult to see whether the error messages related to the tiscali address or the hotmail address. I tried deleting the connector and re-installing it and have taken his hotmail.co.uk account out of outlook several times and re-installed that. My last attempt was a manual re installationand this didn't help. The test account didn't work even though I'd tried both outgoing server settings and the account could not be added successfully. If I add it automatically it will set up but I can't send and receive as I get an error message come up asking me to complete the user name and password for the DELETED hotmail account.
how can I get rid of this and how do I set up the new hotmail account successfully? I've checked that the hotmail account is set up correctly as I can access the inbox, profile and settings and there is nothing on there relating to the old windows ID, though I guess the password is the same as the deleted ID???
