Starting today I can't sign into Windows Live Messenger. I have 3 ID's and can't sign in with any of them. I can use the Web messenger through my Hotmail accounts, but can't sign into Messenger. I get the error code 81000490 and I have followed every
direction in this forum and I'm still unable to sign in. I've installed and uninstalled several times and it still doesn't work. In some of the directions the options I'm supposed to be looking for don't even exist. I have Windows 7 Pro and the version
of Windows Live Essential is 16.4.3503.728. I'm not being blocked by a firewall and I'm not being blocked by my Antivirus software. Often when I try to sign in none of the links work. I have internet connection. The only messages I get are that I'm not
connected to MSN and that error code. I need help please, I'm pulling my hair out here.
Thanks, Lauren

Today for examply, no mails are coming in for hours and then suddenly there will appear but not all.
I use a mac and have the latest operating system, lion.
What is going on?
Today MSN Live Messenger started consuming all available memory. I talked to a friend and the same thing's happening to them. It happens once you log in.

I've rebooted twice. After the Messenger window comes up, the AT&T stay connected ad starts to load at the bottom of the window and then the Messenger window freezes. Checking the Resource Monitor, it then proceeds to eat about 1MB a second from then on, suggesting a serious leak in the inline HTML advertisement.
In the time it took to write this post, Messenger has consumed an extra 50MB of memory, - it's now 'using' 460MB and rising.
I can sign in, but after that nothing. I cannot click on any names to send a message, I cannot even minimize or close the window. It just seems frozen. It is the same on my Mom's computer with her Messenger. I have even gone so far as to unistall and
reinstall. Still having the same problem. Help.
messenger comes up but when you click on it theres no response
