Starting today I can't sign into Windows Live Messenger.  I have 3 ID's and can't sign in with any of them.  I can use the Web messenger through my Hotmail accounts, but can't sign into Messenger.  I get the error code 81000490 and I have followed every direction in this forum and I'm still unable to sign in.  I've installed and uninstalled several times and it still doesn't work.  In some of the directions the options I'm supposed to be looking for don't even exist.  I have Windows 7 Pro and the version of Windows Live Essential is 16.4.3503.728.  I'm not being blocked by a firewall and I'm not being blocked by my Antivirus software. Often when I try to sign in none of the links work.  I have internet connection.  The only messages I get are that I'm not connected  to MSN and that error code.  I need help please, I'm pulling my hair out here.

Thanks, Lauren
Today for examply, no mails are coming in for hours and then suddenly there will appear but not all.
I use a mac and have the latest operating system, lion.
What is going on?
I've never had this error before, but I use WIndows 7 and just today msn stopped responding and gave me an error message stating

Message from Webpage: Out of memory at line 32
The program freezes a few seconds after logging in before giving the error. Since it says from webpage, is this because of one of the ads, or is there a problem within my files?

I have made no changes to my computer yet for some reason Windows Live Messenger keeps locking up constantly. It logs in but goes no further. I have rebooted my computer several times to no avail. I am also getting the Out of Memory line 35 error message which I have never seen before. This error seems to be intermittent but I might be killing the ap before it has a chance to give me this error every time.
Today MSN Live Messenger started consuming all available memory. I talked to a friend and the same thing's happening to them. It happens once you log in.

Version 2009
build 14.0.8117.416
Windows 7 Home Premium

I've rebooted twice.  After the Messenger window comes up, the AT&T stay connected ad starts to load at the bottom of the window and then the Messenger window freezes.  Checking the Resource Monitor, it then proceeds to eat about 1MB a second from then on, suggesting a serious leak in the inline HTML advertisement.

In the time it took to write this post, Messenger has consumed an extra 50MB of memory, - it's now 'using' 460MB and rising.

I can sign in, but after that nothing. I cannot click on any names to send a message, I cannot even minimize or close the window. It just seems frozen. It is the same on my Mom's computer with her Messenger. I have even gone so far as to unistall and reinstall. Still having the same problem. Help.
Messenger works for 30 or so minutes, then freezes and eats up all my memory running the program. It was fine until today.  This isn't just me, its also happening to other friends of mine who are experiencing the same issue so it doesnt seem like a computer issue on my end. It must be MSN Message program itself as messenger works and connects if I use it through the hotmail webpage
messenger comes up but when you click on it theres no response
