I have been reading my emails on my portable devices.  So I had not actually logged into hotmail in awhile.  Today when I logged in my inbox only had 9 emails.  It used to have 300.  Where did they go and why?
My son had created an account with some game system a while back with my MSN account.  He wanted to use it today so asked for my password.  After doing something he announces that I no longer have my MSN account, rather, I have a LIVE account!  I do not want a LIVE account!  I NEVER authorized him or anyone else to change my account!  I want my old account back!  How do I get it back?  My son just turned 18 and I am so angry over this abuse of my trust that I will be trowing him out onto the street if I do not get my account back so if someone knows how to do this then I need assistance NOW!

As of today whenever I have tried to access my Hotmail "contacts" folder it looks completely different than the rest of the site. Secondly, when I look up at the address bar at the top of the browser instead, of it saying, 'https//www.(something) Hotmail', etc it suddenly changes to this: https://bay002.mail.live.com/mail/contacts.mvc#!/mail//contacts.mvc.

Have you / your company done anything to change access to parts of your site? I have been trying to access my Hotmail account multiple times.every time I do it's the same result:  the "Contacts" section is totally different and doesn't mesh with the rest of my Hotmail account.  I'm wondering if my account or access thereof has somehow been 'highjacked'.  For the most part I am able to log in to the site as usual.  Everything initially looks normal. I can even tap into a few of the folders with no problem. They all look the same.  However, when I go to the "Contacts" folder the color scheme and layout of the page has somehow changed to some sort of reddish-orange colored  'people' motif page.  All my other pages are the standard blue & white colored pages.  What gives?

Do you recognize any of this? Please advise.

Thanks for your help.

Hi All,

Just logged in to find all my emails deleted - everything bar the ones sent to me today.

This was not my action and I want my old emails back.  I require one of them quite urgently and many are of great sentimentality.

Thanks,

Amanda

I'm just wondering if this is a real email or not?

I'm confused.

How can I exceed my emails for the day. I didn't send any today and I got the usual amount of emails I normally get today.
The font changed to a smaller size when Hotmail changed the "look" of the entire site. But the biggest problem happened today when in the middle of an email I was composing, the font suddenly became microscopic & I can't find a way to read anything or change it.
What is going on? Things were fine before somebody " improved" the site. Hopefully it will be fixed by the time I'm notified that there's a response, otherwise I'll never be able to read that someone actually responded.
Just got into this iMac a month ago. On Saturday I did some straightening up.   Now I can't find anything that I have done in Outlook. Two actions may have been the factor:
1.  I moved the folder containing Microsoft User Data which was stowed in a Documents folder to a different folder in Documents
2. I turned on the Outlook menu item Sync Services.
Then I wandered off to have a weekend.
Today I tried to launch Outlook and all of my data - inbox, saved folders full of sent and received messges, thousands of contacts in a score of folders, reminders, you name it, gone!
It told me that the database needed to be rebuilt and that process failed several times. Then it said it worked, but my Accounts and all the data are still MIA.
While a file called Database dated September 7 exists in my Main Identity folder there appears no way to open it.  To be exact, now, under Office 2011 Identity there are two folders, Main Identify (with Data records folder, file called Database dated today with 22.6 MB and file called Database copy dated September 7 with 157.2MB.  This is the one I would like to get at as that is where the information should be. The other folder is called Main Identity [Backed up...Date info being today and that appears completely useless.
Needless to say this situation is extremely frustrating. It had taken a month of rearranging of my historic data from a PC to achieve a highly organized system...which is gone
:(
Help would be gratefully accepted.
Off and on, for past 3 days, when accessing hotmail, it comes up blue letters, and virtually inaccessable.  One computer runs XP, other runs Windows 7.  The XP is seldom used and pulled it out to ensure husband had not (again) done something wonderful.  Hotmail runs fine on Ipad.  Also had same experience, today, at MSN.  But only once.  Help
I have been locked out of hotmail for a week.
Got an email today at my alternate email saying they had verified I was me, and gave me option to change password and security question.
I was sent to a site that looked like msn.
It asked me to enter my account name and password. Said need to send me a code. They did.
I put the code in. Next site saidmy credit card info didn't match.
Do they really ask for a credit card number?
I am concerned this is not really msn.
Many thanks,
