Ok, I had to get a new laptop because my 8 month old Toshiba died.  Both it and this one have Windows 8. and on the Toshiba I did use the Outlook Mail app with out a problem.  I set it up, on that laptop and husband's HP windows 8 laptop.  So when I got this Acer laptop a few days ago, I set it up in a similar fashion.  In fact I was very happy when I signed into my Microsoft account to see that it simply imported many of my settings like desktop wall paper, favorites etc...

When I got to the mail app, it prompted me for my account info and kept telling me the password was wrong, which it isn't because I can sign into Outlook.com with that information and bring up my mail.  I then thought well maybe it wants me to sign in with a actual outlook.com email address so I tried that, said that was wrong.  It isn't.

Then last night I some how stumbled upon (while trying to get my password to work and account added) verifying this laptop as a "trusted device" so I did that, successfully.  I then shut it all down and thinking I would get it all squared away this morning.  I got up, turned the laptop on, opened the mail app.  Um no.  Now, it tells me these accounts (I tried both my master email that I use to access mail via web and the outlook.com email address), now it tells me I've already added those accounts.  Lovely, except the mail app is blank.  I mean not just no mail, no folders just a big white screen with a blue border and small txt in the bottom left corner saying to add accounts go to settings.

I looked up FAQ for issues, and I tried to sync, thinking that was it, but there is no swiping from the bottom, with finger or mouse (this laptop has a touch screen so I tried both ways).

So what do I have to do to be able to read email in this app?  I'm sure it's something stupid I am over looking, but on the outside chance that it is a problem with the app itself, I thought I should seek help.

Thanks
