I am having trouble with Windows Live Mail. It keeps asking for my password over and over again. I will close out of Mail on my Windows 7 PC, then try again later and the mail will come down fine. This is very frustrating. I have even tried to re-enter my password into the properties tab. Why does sometimes the mail comes down fine and other times the password screen comes up? Once the enter your password screen comes up, it will never connect. Here is the error message:
Unable to send or receive messages for the Windstream account. An incorrect password was entered. The next time you send or receive messages, you'll be asked to enter your user name and password for this account.

I have recently had to restore my laptop and since then cannot send emails through WL Mail. I am currently getting the following error message:
The message could not be sent. The authentication setting might not be correct for your outgoing e-mail [SMTP] server. For help solving this problem, go to Help, search for "Troubleshoot Windows Live Mail", and read the "I'm having problems sending e-mail" section. If you need help determining the proper server settings, please contact your e-mail service provider.

I have tried changing the port to SSP but that doesn't work (it says account does not support it), I have read through a few others that seem to have had the same issue but have still not got it working.
Please help as it's urgent I can fully access this account.
Many thanks
