I have done a ton of research and troubleshooting on this issue and have yet to find any kind of solution. I have a user who's Outlook causes CPU usage to go up to 100% immediately after the application is opened. The catch is that it only occurs if it connects to the Exchange server (Exchange 2007). If I disconnect the machine from the network (disable wi-fi and unplug ethernet) Outlook runs fine and only uses 2-3% CPU.

So far I have:

-Disabled/uninstalled anti-virus.
-Removed and re-installed Office 2011.
-Rebuilt outlook identity.
-Tried everything recommended in the KB article here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2409331/en-us
-Disk check/permissions check.
-Reformatted the machine and rebuilt from scratch.

Obviously there is one or more specific mail items causing an issues. Likely it's related to synchronization, but I have no idea how to determine what item is so we can go in and delete it. The application hard locks as soon as it's opened so I cannot do any troubleshooting within the application. Are there error logs somewhere I can check?

Oddly I have the user set up on a spare machine (also a Mac running 2011) and it does not have the same issue. The only difference is that Office on his laptop is fully up to date, while on the spare machine it's just a base install. This makes me think the issue is the result of a bug introduced in an update.

The user is running a 2012 MacBook air, mountain lion, both OSX and Office are fully up to date. It is connected to a Windows domain and Exchange 2007 server. Any assistance would be appreciated.

MS Please do not answer with Browser troubleshooting - have already tried from multi PC and multi browsers.

Simple task makes Outlook.com un - usable

I need to delete all emails within Folder "Archive"
Select All emails, Delete
Times out
I can only delete 50 email as a time and I have thousands to delete.

Empty Deleted folder
Right click and empty
Outlook.com times out
I can only delete 50 at a time.

Very basic task - trying to clean up and remove un wanted emails.
Delete mass emails is failing and has been failing for two+ weeks.

Please no troubleshooting on
Sweep and Delete from rules (once clean - I will set these up)
Browser / PC issues (N/A)

This is a outlook.com issue that may be aggravated by the number of emails I received  - I have corrected the incoming flow.
But would like to be able to delete the mess that made it into my email box.

Thanks

I was troubleshooting why my Windows Live Mail is not synching. The calendar update at the bottom right just keeping flashing back and forth.

I ran the registers for Windows 7 and the only one that did not load is the following:

REGSVR32 initpki.dll failed to load.

Is there a way to fix this?

Thanks,

Joanne

After I've changed to Windows 7 Enterprise, Live Messenger stopped working. Troubleshooting shows that key ports is the problem. The only suggested solution that doesn't work is in resetting security.dll. I got 0x80070005 as an error message when I tried to reset wintrust.dll. Any idea on how to fix? Is it related to why Messenger isn't working?

Hello. If there is another forum where this topic belongs, please advise in which it should be. I use 64-bit Win7.  In Windows Live Mail program, Options>Advanced>Maintenance, there is a section for choosing to create a log for troubleshooting. Where does the log get put, and what size will it reach? I am actually interested in the log for News, not Mail, but I expect that they are both saved in the same place.Thanks.
