Now that Outlook.com supports IMAP and the TrueSwitch is closed - what is the easiest way to transfer old emails (including folders and attachments) from Gmail to outlook.com? I mean I can use something like YippieMove but it's not free...
TrueSwitch has shutdown. What can I use now. I tried copying within the Outlook client but apparently it cannot copy a message from an IMAP account to an ActiveSync account.
My Outlook.com emails are being forwarded to Gmail.com account. Need help in stopping this.
Few days back after switching from Hotmail.com to Outlook.com, I decided to 'add an alias'.
https://account.live.com/AddAssocId
I chose 'Add an existing email address as a Microsoft account alias' and added my Gmail.com email id as an alias. It then redirected me to 'Trueswitch.com' page where I entered all the required details. Since then all emails are being forwarded to my gmail
email account as soon as they arrive in my Outlook.com email account. I want to stop these emails being forwarded to Gmail now. Please suggest.
What I already tried:
1. Checked 'Outlook.com Inbox>Options>Email forwarding' in 'More mail settings'. I have not set up email forwarding there.
2. Checked 'Gmail.com > Settings > Accounts >Check mail from other accounts (using POP3)'. I have not setup checking email from other accounts via POP in Gmail.
3. Removed my Gmail.com alias from Outlook.com.
4. Contacted Trueswitch. They asked me to change the passwords of both my gmail and Outlook.com account. Didnt help. Emails are still being forwarded to Gmail.
5. Trueswitch finally asked me to contact Microsoft support, as Trueswitch is now shut and provide minimal support.
Hello there,
I am trying to COPY emails from gmail.com to outlook.com. Microsoft articles that I've found say to use "Trueswitch," but the link given, as well as going to "trueswitch.com" results in an error message indicating that the service has gone offline.
I know that gmail has a built-in way to migrate messages from one account to gmail; I was wondering if outlook.com had this or if there was another way to get the messages from gmail.com to outlook.com.
Thanks!
