Have a Mac tower and Notebook, both OS 10.6.8_ Have been using Outlook on Notebook for 2 types of accounts and need both on the tower. Just now finally installed Outlook on the tower. Set up Exchange and one account (pop) works after import but need
mail account on Exchange for work. Error alert says "Unexpected data was encountered" when installed Outlook on Mac Tower and tried to get mail. I have a backup on an external drive from Notebook that has been working. Where to find Data to "import" to
new setup?
unexpected data was encountered when press 'send/receive' button
mail can not be sent.
error code: 17997
mail can not be sent.
error code: 17997
I can't seem to connect on or off network to a brand new exchange server from a fresh install on a new mac... painful.
I get the error "Unexpected data was encountered" error code -17997 and not sure if I can really say much more.
Mac Mail works fine (to boot), and I've literally copy-pasted the user, server, etc from one to the other and outlook is still not functioning.
Anyone else? Is there some special "mac setting" that needs to be enabled on the server?
Running: Mountain lion, MS office for Biz, all updated and current. Permissions repaired, etc on my MBP-r.
