Unwanted instant messages

I continue to get unwanted instant messages (spam and/or "hey baby" ****) from people I do not know. Since they are NOT a contact of mine I cannot limit their access or anything else. Please tell me there is a way to block/stop these messages. I cannot see their email address to add to my blocked list. see examples below:

I have unwanted contacts in my contacts list I didn't add. I have already gone through the steps suggested online to decline invitations but some unwanted addresses still remain. How can I get rid of them?

how do I stop UNWANTED CONTACTS from accumulating on my hotmail account.

Every time in log into Hotmail i find hundreds of new contacts in my contact list. They are not any I haved added. I am tired of deleting thousands of them. Why can't I stop this from reoccuring. If I cant stop it I will have to CLOSE MY ACCOUNT after many years. This is a new problem, only in the last couple of months.
