Hello,

I would like to know how to prevent a "bug" that has already forced me to reinstall Office 2011 for Mac.

My problem comes from the "smart folders" of theTasks section of Outlook.

After a minute, the order of my categories refresh itself (the list disappears and reappears) and my categories are in complete disorder.

I have already solved my problem with, in the past:
  • de-indexed and reindexed my folder "MS User Data"
  • reconstructed my identity
  • imported my identity a new identity
  • tested Outlook with another Mac OS X account
  • and finally completely reinstalled Office for Mac.

Could you advise me to avoid this error?
Rem.: I'm working with all options of synchronization enabled (OSX Lion and an iPod Touch from the 4th generation).
I'm using Office for Mac 14.2.1.

Thank you for your understanding and for your response.

PS: Currently, my smart folders with tasks are "buged" again ;(.
Sorry for my english i'm french.

When I was an Outlook on PC user, I frequently received meeting requests, then accepted them and then used that same meeting in my calendar to invite additional staff members I need to support that meeting.  Is this possible in Outlook for MAC 2011?

so hen I open my windows mail, it goes not responding, sometimes page blanks out, then it will come back, but when looking at mail, often goes back to not responding. Takes ages for me to get through my mail, often give up,should I re install windowslive mail?.

I am a basic user, and in my elder years, so please simplicity is what is reguired. many thanks

I have a new MacBook Pro (Retina) and am combining multiple computers onto it.  I have an account/partition for Home and another for Work, but want to share the same Outlook on both (including personal folders).  I can open it on the partition on which I installed the program, but get an error on the other partition that says "This identity cannot be open with this version of Outlook."

Not sure if the problem is the move from my old MacBook Air (where I was using the SAME version of Outlook), or the fact that it is installed on a different partition.  I have tried rebuilding the database and deleting Outlook-related files from my preferences, but still haven't figured it out.

I'm looking for a solution to keep my outlook files normally found in /Users/eikkaj/Documents/Microsoft User Data/Office 2011 Identities/Main Identity...etc
in a network drive. I've tried moving the entire directory starting at MS User Data or just particular files onto the network drive and then creating an alias in its place but Outlook complains and tries to rebuild the database = doesn't work. It seems that with Thunderbird or Outlook on Windows, you can create profiles elsewhere but I don't think that's an option here? Any suggestions?

I have created a group using instructions from on-line.  (Start, User, Contacts, new group)  I am allowed to create the group and I click OK.  From within Windows Live Mail I can not find the group in my contacts list.  If I do a search of my computer it finds the lists so it is there.  It has an extension of .group.  How do I get this new group into my Windows Live Mail and sent email to it?
