My account had just been hacked recently. I answered some survey and I've got it back and thought using mobile verification would help preventing it from getting hacked again. But I keep getting text for the 'verification code' that I only requested once, and it is the same text over and over again. I've already received more than 10 same SMS for the past 24 hrs. Will I be charged? I tried to remove the mobile verification setting, removed my phone number but I still received the same SMS. Is there anything I can do now?

I have two different Hotmail accounts.

The one I can access and did not need a verification code. The second one I have had the verification code send to me but when I input the code it says it is not valid.

HELP!!!

As the title says I cannot receive the verification code that was sent to my alternate email since i no longer have access to it and i cannot receive the code to the phone number since it is my old number. I have 4 days to get the code or my account will be locked. On my main email i CANNOT access the security information because it takes me to the page where it asks for a code and how i would like to receive it. Please someone help!! My main email is *** Email address is removed for privacy *** and the alternate that i no longer have access to is *** Email address is removed for privacy ***
Hi all, I have passed the verification process but the only thing I received in e-mail was two links (no verification code). Could I still get to know the registration date of my account? Thank you.

"As you're trying to access sensitive info, you need to use a security code to verify your account. How would you like to receive your code?"

About a week ago I started getting prompts to enter a verification code, but everytime I requested it to be sent to my backup email it didn't arrive (I checked all spam and junk filters).  Progressively the counter said I had fewer and fewer days to resolve the issue, every day I request the verification code which never arrived.

I also emailed hotmail support who sent a message to my hotmail account (!) rather than my backup email address, with one day to spare I logged in and it wasn't clear if anyone was doing anything to fix the problem.  I replied but now cannot see if there has been any response.

Today my hotmail account is locked, verification codes still aren't arriving (again checked all spam and junk filters), other emails are arriving to the backup address fine.

Can someone help with this issue?  The circular event process is driving me crazy and I need my hotmail back.

Thanks,
David

Hello

When trying to log into Outlook.com it popped up with a message saying that a verification code had been sent to my other email address (which I had previously specified as the backup option for verification) and I had to enter the code to continue logging in. Sure enough, there was indeed a code at this alternative email address in an email from Microsoft, but when I entered it, it told me it was the wrong code and didn't let me in. I copied and pasted it, it rejected it. I manually typed it, it rejected it.....

In the end I had to skip the verification (which you can do for a week) but it still doesn't let me do it, and the week is running out. Soon I wont have access to the account any more because it won't let me past the login stage. Can you advise how I can actually get rid of this verification prompt, or give me another way of passing the correct code details on to you, as the box doesn't seem to accept it.

Thanks

Moray

My Outlook accounts are blocked. I am unable to do the online verification because I have insufficient info. Texting or calling phone with verification code doesn't work as I think I've put in a landline number and I'm not even sure if I included national code. Now my main Outlook email account doesn't even recognise my password to let me try online verification again, although given that I've been unsuccessful umpteen times there seems little chance that I'd suddenly be successful.

Microsoft Support do not appear to be properly supporting people. I see a lot of similar blocking events with other folk around 18th July 2013. Microsoft have a big problem here, and they do not appear to be properly helping their customers to sort it.

This has got to be one of the most stressful things I have ever encountered. I don't need this stress. I have anti-virus and keep Windows up to date. This is not my fault. I could have important emails waiting - job interviews even. This is driving me to distraction.

I don't know how exactly I worded my security question, but the essence of it is correct - it surely just needs someone to manually check!

HELLLPPP!
Hi,

I've just added an email a/c & tried to send my mail in vain.  Received a pop-up window asking me to key in verification code but there was no image. When I click on audio, it just hangs at loading audio. I'm stuck now, can't send out any msg through Microsoft Outlook.  Pls advise~

Thanks,
Shirley
