Yesterday my accounts were hacked and my personal Hotmail account (that I've had since 1998 or 1999) was closed.

When I try to recover it or to reset my password, the login window says the account doesn't exist

This is not an issue related to non-use or mis-use on my part.

I was able to get a help ticket related to "profile abuse," but more than 30 hours later, I am still without my personal email account. Because I have important information in my saved correspondences, I am at a significant loss without access to my information.

Will someone please help me retrieve my personal email address?  I'll gladly provide any needed documentation or verification that I am the rightful, respectful user of my Hotmail account.

Thank you very much!

Signed in and a security code was needed for verification, received code at another address typed in and now my outlook is all jumbled and unreadable. Any ideas on how to proceed?

I changed a verification email on my account and now i cant get to my hotmail. It gives me this: You recently updated your security info
We have a waiting period for the updates to take effect. On 10/6/2013, we'll delete your old security info:
in*****@hotmail.com
Once this is deleted, you'll be able to verify your account with info you have access to. If you didn't make the updates, or if you still have access to the above info, cancel the updates
HElp?

I am having trouble verifying my hotmail account. Can I send a copy of my drivers license as another form of verification?I am having trouble verifying my hotmail account. Can I send a copy of my drivers license as another form of verification? I need to access my account because I have important information in my email.
I have tried the verification process to reset my password but I have not been able to verify it.   I have had this account over 20 years and this is frustrating when you can not get help. I have tried and tried to verify it using the verification and it SIMPLY DOES NOT WORK. There has to be a better way.  I have called Microsoft twice and they can only update my initial case #. I think is ridiculous to continue to go through this process with no actual resolution!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Having typed in a/c address and password, I get a 'verification' page.  It says a security code is required for me to access the a/c.  I don't have one but they have the correct address for sending me a code (my aol a/c) so I click 'Next' and a message pops onto the page saying "Security code sent to address specified",   I check the aol a/c, but no message.  Itry about half a dozen times over the next few hours, same result.  Finally - still on the verification page - a maessage pops up saying, roughly 'you have asked for too many verification codes foe today. Try again tomorrow". Well. I asked for them, but they were not received. I could go round this loop until the allowed six days have expired, at which point I lose the account. I rely on it for my work as a poet.  It's a nightmare.  Can anybody help?  I wonder if it's a hacking scam - it does require me to have my hotmail a/c and my aol a/c open at the same time, and I have had false msg problems before in hotmail.  ANY IDEAS?  HELP!  Patrick the Poet

Hello,

So I would like to setup forwarding on my email address, but I am unable to do so become of some verification loop I'm seemingly stuck in. The message I get is as follows:

This feature is currently disabled. We're trying to discourage spammers - sorry to get in your way.

Verify your account and you'll be able to use this and all other features right away.

Verify your account | Learn more

I click on verify my account and then get the following message:

Thanks for verifying your account
You added the following mobile numbers to your account:
(phone number)
Verified accounts allow you to enjoy Microsoft services with fewer interruptions and limitations

I hit done and then go back to my account. But when I click email forwarding again, I get the same message as before about the feature being disabled. I've looked around online and found a bunch of different things about this, such as, I have to use the account for a couple days, etc. But nothing works. I've also tried removing the phone number and readding it to basically go through a manual verification process, but that still doesn't work.

Any insight into this issue would be immensely appreciated, and I apologize if the solution was already out there and I was unable to find it.
