I have an old Panasonic video camera, model NV DS 15 which successfully downloaded files into my old XP system by firewire.  Now I have upgraded to Win 8.1 and downloaded Movie Maker, I am unable to download.  I follow the instructions to download file and am presented with a box telling me my equipment will be detected, it isn't.  All other searches I have made give answers for Win 7.  Help would be appreciated.

I have made a 10 minute movie with approximately 8 clips all shot with the same video camera. When I save the movie a hand full of videos pixelate. I have saved many time using different formats with the same results. I uninstalled and reinstalled movie maker (Windows essentials) with no improvement. I have made similar movies within the month without this problem. The version that I reins t called is build 16.3508..0205. Help!

I am using an ancient Panasonic NV-DX100 to import video into Movie Maker in Window 8.1 via a firewire cable.  The programme finds my camera OK, but when I try to import the video, I keep getting the same message:

There IS no other programme or import running!!  I have lost count of the number of times I have turned off my import device and turned it on again.  I have used Task Master to check that nothing else is running, - which it wasn’t, and even restarted the PC to try and get rid of the phantom Import.  No joy!!  Same thing every time and I am more than a little fed up with it!!

The camera IS old, but takes really good video, and I would really like to import it!!  Has anyone got any suggestions??

why would the video I am trying to download from my hard drive video camera only transfer as audio files without the video with them?
Hello Anyone

Please help.     I was trying to import HD video from my Camcorder video camera using window live movie maker (WLMM). And I want to import only some part of my video since I don't have much space on my laptop. But WLMM doesn't support it rather it only allow to import the entire video.

I kept searching on google but found no solution and no one as far as I know asked this same question even in this forum.  Now I have no ide at all. Please anyone help me.  Is there any way to do this or are there any other program that will allow this (importing HD video as multiple).

Thanks
